    Army Thread Monday 10 January

    Hey Stirly,

You are of course completely right...it is rather silly! However, my keep fit suffered when I was drinking so now I am sober and getting back to it, smoking has to go!

      Hey there EW and Stirly!

EW still doing the running thing. I wish I could do that, it just takes me so long to build up for that and I get stiches so easily that never seem to go away even with months of jogging. I used to jog every morning before work along the waterfront and it was beautiful and quiet.

Stirly, yes ma'am. Little Gia loves her turkey bacon for breakfast, it's just like normal bacon but without all the fat and everything and actually better for you. It's yummy and she says it makes her strong, how good is that!? LOL.

You can have some of our snow if you want?

          Hey Gia,

Sorry to hear about your coffee incident! That would have made me 'Grrrrrrrrrrrr!' I think, especially at that time of the morning when I was half asleep and REALLY needed that coffee.

I don't tend to get stitches provided I don't run after having something to eat or drink before I go more than a small glass of water. I just wish I had a waterfront to run along!

Turkey bacon is great! I think I might have to invest in some next time I go shopping now...

EWGood for you both on keeping fit and on being AF. I'm sure you'll stop the smokes soon. Take some inspiration from Oney. Her determination is amazing! Like she says, if she can do it, you can do it.

She sounds like a darling and I love turkey bacon too. And real bacon. She's right about making her strong - that's so sweet - a good bit of protein to start the day off right.
I'd love some snow. Haven't had any for two years. Last time we got in the first week of February so there is still hope for this year.

Off to the supermarket. Catch up with youz laterz...:wavin:

Hey Oney! Good luck on staying away from the PC, I could use a little down time myself actually. I'll work on that tomorrow.

EW, I used to get up and run as soon as I got up in the morning..around 6am. No food or anything, still used to get them daily. Maybe it's just me, not made for running I guess but I sure looked great with all the cardio! LOL.

Stirly, she is a little darling. I'm just so happy that she's my little darling, I feel like a very lucky Mommy to have her. Have fun shopping. I love going to the markets and grocery stores.

I'll have another coffee thanks JC!

Gia - I don't know, some people are more susceptible than others I guess. I just have to watch my knees if I am road running - too many soccer injuries!

Just having a BROWN BREAD sambo lurk then I am gone again..

EW, this is the best bit of advice, I can give you...Fallen angel gace it to me and it WORKS!

In general, most of us think that a craving "hurts"... that it is actually painful. But in reality, when we take away our preconceived ideas of what it really is, we find that it is more of an energy that feels like a huge wave that wants to engulf us...even crash down over us. If we can stop what we're doing, and sit quietly, close our eyes, we can feel this surge of energy.
The key is to relax & let it wash over you.... let yourself FEEL the sensation.... and you will come to realize that this is in no way a painful feeling, in fact.... it is something quite profound as you feel this washing over you. And that's where the "lean" comes in... lean into the feeling.... invite it in.... and take in the whole experience. This might last a minute or so. When you feel the wave has finished.... let yourself remain relaxed & take in what you feel. Then slowly open your eyes. You will feel like you have been on some surreal journey! Almost a spacey feeling for a few minutes. Once you get over that, then it's best to get busy with something.... and if possible, try to do something different from what you were doing that brought on the craving.
