My Freddoccino was a stray dogger. He's our first dog. Years ago we had cats but then one died and our kids were so upset that I swore I'd never have another pet. Then Freddie wandered by our store one day. Actually he was following anyone who was eating something, hoping for a hand-out so he kept walking back and forth following the peeps. I ran to the store and got him a can of food and he's been with us ever since. Mind he was so scared those first few days that he wouldn't come near anyone. I had to put his food outside the store so he would eat it because he was afraid to come inside. I kept putting it closer to the door each day and then finally just inside the door. He cautiously stepped inside, ate the food and then went out again. Hung about close by but it wasn't until the fourth or fifth day of me putting the food inside the store that he actually stayed and didn't run off. And he was terrified of the broom. Whenever I went to sweep the floor he'd run off or over to a corner and cower. Now I can vacuum his fur and he doesn't even flinch.:H:H

My those tea towels do sound exciting JackieClaire...

Just back from the gym...totally exhausted but feeling really good.

My cat adopted us actually. When we moved into the flat about three year ago, he would wander up and knock on the door. Then he started wanting come in at night and eventually sleep over night. My neighbours were going to regime him because he seemed really unhappy with them so we decided to adopt him. He hassuch a sad little life but is v happy now. Plus, he gets to move to America where I will adopt him a little American friend (he will need someone to show him the ropes) I live him and don't know what I would do without him.

                Hi folks

Just checking in after some time. Hope all are well and having a good Sunday

Explained to One2 that I haven't had internet access for awhile, phone was cut off and basically my finances are in a mess for a number of reasons

Good news is that I am off the booze and intend to stay that way, went to my first AA meeting on Friday and am still feeling very emotional about it all

I start a new job tomorrow, it's part-time initially so not too much too soon. I'll be facilitating workshops across County Meath with people that are unemployed and trying to identify training programmes that will tie in with where job opportunities are in the future so I am quiet excited about it all. It will be hard though as I have to juggle childcare which isn't really sorted yet and as a very nervous learner driver it'll be hard to get round. I am calling in all my friends and neighbours for help at the mo!!

Off to make the dinner, back later
                xx

I bought a couple of DVDs today, that one that Expat bought - Once and Gregorys girl. Just fancied some nice feel good films to while away the hours. Anyone seen either of them?

Seen both and they are VERY good. Gregory's girl reminds me of when I was a kid, went to the cinema to see it!

I watch The Secret Life of bees last night, was a nice movie...bit sentimental but I enjoyed it...and yes I cried lol!
