Jackie dear, I will be joining the others in honouring your Mother. You posted your thread yesterday, January 22nd. The same day my Dad died - exactly one year before your Mother. We were fortunate that he died in hospital and not the way your Mother did. I'm glad that writing this thread has helped you. Do the best you can to remember the good times. J, I'm (unusually) speechless. I DO adore you, and I thought I'd had hardships from some of my childhood. This is a scar, I know. But it explains, to you, many things. Yet you have gone on, achieved things, travelled, cared for your loved ones. Don't fear this legacy, sweet woman. She WAS your mother. But you have learned, and grown, so much.
Whatever you think, you have moved yourself, you understand. And I understand your pain in this memory. I know, with your beautiful mind, you will use it to motivate yourself to stop this in your family. I will think of your mother, the way she was, and of you, dear friend.
