A sunny but cold day here. Temperature is a mere 7C.For every 60 seconds that you are angry, you lose a minute of happiness.

Army Thread 26th January
Good Morning Folks!
Sorry you're having a rough time Starty. There are nutcases everywhere just waiting to prey on people's kindness. It's sick.
At work....
They decided in their wisdom that the job I'm doing covering for a guy who makes twice as much as I do, is going just fine, so they've offered me his job for the same money I'm making now. I'm currently on a 30 hour a week contract but am working 40 and have been for over a year, so they've promised, if I'm a good boy, they might get me a full-time contract, which basically means they just have to give me full holiday pay. I'm going to ask for more money as the job has a lot more responsibility and I want to learn how to do it properly. There are a lot of technical things that can go wrong, and if I'm doing a job, I want to do it the best I can. I suppose it's a step up though and that's something. The thing is, I've had too many jobs where I just do the hard stuff and get overlooked when it comes to the rewards, which, let's face it, is the reason we all get up in the morning. I'm taking it, just because it may lead to something better, and I'll be letting the manager know my feelings on the subject.
The wedding....
Everythings in place and there's a little calm hiatus where we're just waithing for the big day now. My daughter's excited and it's rubbing off on me a little. I just need to work on my speech and I'm ready.
I hope everyone has a happy, peaceful Wednesday.

Hey Pops, by all means take the job but do have a chat with the manager, they would not be asking you to do it unless that had faith that you could and that should be rewarded and reflected in your wage packet....maybe tell them you will do a trial period for a month and after that you expect to be paid for the job you are actually doing.
DYING to see pics of the wedding!!"It's not your job to like me, it's mine!"
