          Just thought I would check in.

          Start - that is totally crap about facebook - people are far too bold on that then they would be to your face. At least you can just block him and be done with it. I have a v strict facebook policy - I don't accept anyone I don't know and if I wasn't friends with you in high school, i am not going to be friends with you on FB as lets face it - we are unlikely now to have more in common then 12 years ago.

          Popeye - excuse my language but that is total bullshit from management. Do you keep evidence of your work and how you have performed ahead of what is required of you? I have found that unless I can back everything up and people see it in black and white, they just don't listen. It looks like you have had a lot of good advice here and I hope you stand up for yourself - you totally deserve it - you have proved you can do the job or they wouldn't have offered you it. People blame the economy and all that but everyone should be renumerated based on their contribution and it sounds like you have done more than your fair share. Fingers crossed for you.

                Recluse, you're in the UK. It may be a bit of a wait but I got my de-tox through the NHS as a day patient. The last one I did was a home de-tox through me GP. I'll Pm more details later.

                I saw a psychiatric nurse/AL counsellor for a long time before and after my first de-tox and I sometimes ring him for a chat.

                The best thing that we ever did was the two lists exercise. In one column write down what you hate about drinking and in the other column write down what you love. Believe me I had about 3 pages of hates and one line of loves............and I can't remember what that was.

                Oh and then I had a councillor to deal with some mother/daughter issues.

                        Howdie guys!


                        I have been busy deleting people from FB and changing my security settings because you never can tell and having seen Starty suffer first hand with a nasty person it certainly raised my awareness.

                        Also kinda worried about pics of my children being there too so I changed that to friends only...Any one can pose as anyone on FB and come to think of it, I remember someone here posting about her hubby being a pedophile and watching kiddie porn sites, horrific stuff, just goes to show, you cannot be too careful.

                        What have I missed?
