    Army Thread 31st January

    Good morning, Army

Sheesh! These 5.00 a.m. starts on a Monday morning aren't good for my constitution.

Anyone for fruit salad & yogurt for brekkie? At least the domestic slave is there today, so she can take some home with her.

KTAB: how was the romantic weekend with Mrs. KT?

Wanna is still with Chill, right? Coming back sometime today?

Morning Army, Happy Monday! I must say-it is nice to see that it's the last day of January! Come on SPRING! Like JC- I can't wait to see the daffodils. February is the shortest-but coldest-month so I'm going to keep as busy as possible. Once March arrives-it is smooth (ish) sailing into Spring. So me thinks that now is the time to start a serious stretching get fit program to get ready for a body that won't be hidden by jumpers and coats in just a FEW! months! That is my goal anyway. I've always hated Feb so I hope to turn it into something positive. Glad you had a great weekend with Wanna, Chill!

You're so fortunate to be one of his 7 638 friends, Froglet. I have yet to crack the nod and be accepted.

                Good Morning Army!!!

Tips - I can't imagine getting up at 5 a.m. I have to get up at 6 when I work and I really don't like it much. I guess getting home earlier in the afternoon compensates for it. Hope you have a leisurely day at work.

Tawny - good to see you. How are things in your corner of the world? Has your land dried up? I read that it's lush and green but is it still soggy? And how are "the girls"? We haven't had an update or pictures for a while....

Chill - glad you had fun with Wanna. Ditto what Tips said - it was to be expected - funny yellow fellow that he is.

Ex-patty - we will probably have daffodils before you do but I'm wondering what February will bring. Two years ago we had a huge snowstorm. I loved it, of course, but things came to a bit of a standstill.

Starts - so happy that you have become closer with your brother. It's wonderful when family members get along well. I would be very sad if my sons didn't get along. BTW - KTAB accepted my friend request. And so did Tawny. Maybe you should stop poking him.

Off to walk the dog before it starts to rain. Wishing you all a

                Laterz...

P.S. Whoever nicked the sun from Stirly-World - please give it back. Even just this much... :sun:

P.P.S. - Hi Anon - almost missed you there. I'll be having my porridge when I get back.

                              Army Thread 31st January

                              Good Morning Folks!
I'm nervous today, which isn't like me.
I'm slightly panicked about not having any cigarettes and I start my 'new' job. They've changed my hours so I don't start work until 4pm and finish at midnight, so I'm working an hour later but for half an hour less, as this new contract includes a paid lunch break. I managed to negotiate myself some more money, which I'm pleased about, especially as I've never been in the position of having to do that before, so I think I did quite well.
I'm also a bit concerned about my yoga class. I used to come in and work a day shift so I could get the evening off, but I'm now working for a different department - Goods In - and there's nothing to do until the goods actually start coming in at around 5. They've agreed to let me go away for a couple of hours, but that means I'll have to work till 2am. I'll give it a go and see what happens. Maybe I can find a class in the mornings or lunchtime somewhere. I really enjoy it and would hate to have to give it up.
Another thing is that I'll be seeing less of Susan, as she used to wait up for coming in, but it'll be to late as she's got to be up for work in the morning. We'll just have to make good use of our Sunday off. I dare say things will be fine once we get used to the routine.
We worked out the cost of the wedding and it turned out not as bad as I'd imagined, though we're kinda skint for the rest of this pay month. Thank goodness it's a short one. I spent about ?400 buying other people drinks, but they enjoyed themselves and there wasn't even a fight.
                              Anyhoo, enough about me.
Wishing you all a happy, healthy and sober week ahead.
