I, like the idiot I am, am still struggling. Did good for a while but not so much right now. Drinking a bottle of wine a night. I like this site and the program but wasn't able to keep up on all the supps. I got some blood work done a while back and my AST & ALT levels are way high. I ignored that fact and continue to drink. Well now I'm scared about how much damage I have done. So I started looking around again and ran across timetoquitdrinking.com. I was wondering if anyone else has tried it. Its a DVD,CD and book that you watch, listen and read repeatedly and its supposed to retrain you brain. I just didn't have luck with supps, didn't try hard enough really. Wasn't sure about the meds, but I did like the hypno CDs, It was just hard to find the time and then when I did I would fall asleep. It says you can listen to the CD in this program anytime. I don't know, I'm going to research it some more. Just wondering if anyone had heard of it.
Thanks:flower: I'm not as good as I'm gonna get, but I'm better than I used to be.

First post (actually poster) to catch my eye signing in today. We had a brief email exchange when I had young Tigs AKGirl. Sorry to hear you're struggling so. I am going to look at that site when I have time. Will bookmark it for now. I agree we need to retrain our brains and am all for all the help in doing that I can get.. I wanted to suggest that you keep on with the supps as well as they will aid the brain in healing and it's ability to continue to learn new things. Look forward to seeing you around more and all the best!

Hi hunni. I'm soo sorry you're still struggling. I didn't have any luck with the meds either and not much luck with the hypno cd. However, I did pay and see a real
Hypnotist who really helped me a lot and I believe that's why I'm still sober. I think I thought the meds and stuff would be a miracle cure which of course there is no such thing. You said you didn't try hard enough.. Well I think that no matter what we buy or take, if you don't use every single ounce of will power, strength and all we have inside, we will keep tripping and stumbling. I have no idea of the book,DVD,cd you're on about, sorry. Just give it you're all and you'll see yourself blossom!!
All my love xxxx

Hi akgirl!
Sorry you are struggling & still searching for yor way out!
I just took a quick look at that website & it seems to be based on hypnotherapeutic techniques with the CDs & DVDs, etc. I'm sure it probably will help some people. If you feel that it will help you then by all means go for it.
The MWO CDs changed my thinking about AL, no doubt! That coupled with a very strong desire to quit did it for me. I did not use the recommended supplements here because I had a lot of my own on hand (and worry about allergies to new things). Anyway that you can incorporate a healthy life style with good foods, vitamins/minerals, some exercise & lots of water will work I think.
If yo have the MWO CDs why not try using them again according to the instructions that come with them? You'll save yorself the expense of buying the program at timetoquitdrinking. Just a thought
Whatever you decide, I wish you well.

Good idea L, I might. Its just I had a hard time finding time, and then I would fall asleep. I like the idea of being able to listen to them while driving etc. Maybe I should get them out again and see.
:l to everyone for your support:flower: I'm not as good as I'm gonna get, but I'm better than I used to be.

Hi Akgirl~
I have a hypno/subliminal audio that I play while I sleep at night that really helps me. The first part is voice-over (conscious programming, I guess), and I usually fall asleep even before that's done. Then it's ocean sounds with subliminal stuff underneath it. Then it goes into a Native American flute thing w/subliminal stuff. I had a little trouble here and there when the author misspeaks, but now I know it's coming so I ignore it. All in all, a pretty good audio. (Note: when the ocean stops and the flute starts, the decibels increase esp. at the very start of the flute. Has briefly woken me up if the volume isn't really low [I sleep w/my iPod].) The name of it is "End Alcohol Abuse (Unabridged)" by Joel Thielke. Maybe give that one a try?
Best of luck and keep trying to find the way that works for you!"The Pessimist complains about the wind; the Optimist expects it to change; the Realist adjusts the sails."
