I had a good sleep but an apprehensive wake up wondering what's going to clobber our beautiful country today. First read of the news is not good. 30,000 people have been ordered from their homes in anticipation of this horrendous event.

I got my first half decent sleep after 4 days AF :yay:
Also releived to hear that my sister and her family flew out of Cairns last night. Let's hope things don't get too bad for the folk remaining.

Afternoon all,
Eyes hanging out of my face... a hot, sweaty, sleepless night. Got up early to get some water on the garden. Started sorting and packing for the ski trip. Incongruous... it's 36 degrees and I'm packing thermals and thick woollens!



Stirly, I'm fine where I am. Thankyou for your concern. I'm luckily south of Sydney. It's just damned heatwave at the moment.

Mr G. Go for the website. It will be a hit... so many men feel they have nowhere to turn when they are in emotional turmoil. Does it cost much to set one up?

Oh my, that looks dreadful. The conference I am at is missing a few people who are from Cairns and they have been in our thoughts all day.

Praying that any undie-family and friends are also safe and sound.

I reckon you can. Said blokes are also our brothers, and fathers, and sons, and coussie-bros and good mates. Some of us wish they would take better care of themselves than they do!!













I hope your daughter is going to be okay Aspy. Good stuff on staying off the turp's. You would be no good to your daughter and your family if you were on it, as you know. Never forget where a drink can take us. I find it's important to alway's be moving forward in our recovery, nothing overwhelming, but just being mindful of who we really are, where we've been, and where we want to be, and are. A bit of regular meditative sort of reflection on how far we've come is a really helpful and positive thing to do i reckon.

Just a quick check in.

Aspy, well done for staying away from the grog at a difficult time. Give your little ones extra hugs from their "MWO Aunties."

Mr G - Go for it with the website. I think men's health really needs to be promoted. So many men just don't communicate and don't look after themselves. Things seem to be improving and I hope this "stiff upper lip" can be broken down in future generations.
