        Morning My Happy place,

Yep, a difficult time for many. Have a safe, sober, and relaxing day.

          Abso-bloody-lutely.

Hoping to wake up with a different head on.
If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

a little bit of gallows humour ..... you can tell how serious it is here by the fact that they have cancelled tonight's Super14 rugby.

The 5-yearly census (due to happen on March 8) has also been cancelled. Last time that happened was in WWII.

Morning, all Undies and visitors. I practise for the mammograb by slamming my boobs (what there is of them) in the fridge door several times (for good measure), just in case they don't get a good picture the first time.
Don't really think we can blame 'a higher power' for all the disasters...depleting the earth of trees, oil, ozone etc and all kinds of atomic experiments have made the earth very unstable. Don't want to sound negative here, but the blame lies squarely with greedy, power hungry men.
Sorry...bit of a sore point. But is is very frightening.

I know what you mean, Mish. It could make for a very long discussion......

Back from kick boxing. Not exactly what I had in mind but I will probably give it a try for a few weeks. There were no 20 something size 8's there. Most of the women were between about 30 and 45 and all with some weight to lose. Size wise I was somewhere in the middle.

Hubby is away, so it's a good time to get some course-work done.

                    Avo all,

In an attempt to get rid of some of the blaggh's, I've just signed up to take part in Clean Up Australia on Sunday 6th March - our little town will be working to clean up the public walking track which was damaged in the recent floods. If you've never joined in, it's good fun and you'll be with like-minded people. It's only for a few hours and there should be a site near you. Full details can be obtained from their website. I went last year and was disappointed to see that there were only about twelve volunteers - all in the 50+ age range. Where were all the young folk?

I'm back to apologise for that last post...I came across as pretty sanctimonious and opinionated. I do think that, but could have put it better.
Guess the events of the past few months and days in particular are making me angry. I just hate what we've done to the earth and that so many innocent folk are the ones to pay for it.

I think MrG must have had too much NescafebinL. this morning. Either that or too much of that chocolate goats milk icecream he keeps yapping on about. Clearly, he's OFF HIS HEAD and tripping BIG time if he's putting Brynne in charge of those kids ...

Bridge - I reckon you caught your malaise from the mammograb machine because you hadn't practised with the fridge door first.

Whereas a shameless display of throbbage would have put my hydraulics in harm's way. I have a REAL fear of that :H:H:H
