Sort of Bridge. I've got a couple of website's in mind. There is the choice of free blogging sites, e.g. wordpress, blogger, or my own where i pay monthly fee (appx. $8) for hosting, but i have full control of the content, virtual real estate space, and can tweak any way i like.

          Good Morning All,

A late check in for me but I have already done the school run and been for a walk with a friend and friend's dog. Now I know I can't have a dog - there is just no way I could clear up poo.

Have also been to the shops to get the last bits for son's school camp next week. Looks like I have a day of labelling clothes ahead of me. Son is going away for 6 days - not sure how that's going to be with me. He'll love it but I think I am going to be a blubbering wreck by the time the coach pulls away. I shall look of the bright side - no getting up early for a whole week.

I throb horse smell generally. Used to refuse to wash my jeans after riding.
Pity the poor bastard horse that'd have to have me on it's back these days :H

I have been on a horse precisely 4 times. First time I got thrown off and got serious concussion (my country cousins thought it would be fun to see how their city cousin coped with an ex-race horse). Second time I was in Fiji visiting family and it was either horse or walk. I took the horse until I fell off into a river that was shallow and had rocks at the bottom. I walked after that. Third time was Spain, and in the mountains and it was the only form of transport and I was scared shitless for the whole day, but I didn't fall off, although the whole party took 3 hours longer to get to where we were going that we (they) had anticipated (and I wasn't very popular!!) Fourth time was about 10 years ago when a friend of mine convinced me that I needed to feel the fear and do it anyway. Facing one's fears is sometimes much over-rated. I fell off the safest horse in the stables and vowed never to get on a horse again.

                    I'm also scared of cows.

                    Yay for chooks and cats!!

I like my palominos and a good strong Aust. stock. My grandad used to round up brumbies and break them.

I love horses and had been lucky enough to ride regulary here, although I can't say that I'm overly confident. I still have that feeling of "who will do everything if I fall off and break something?"

Back to poo, I can cope with herbivore poo - koalas, wombats, horses just not dogs and cats. But then again I can't handle the smell of dog and cat food either. I get asked to look after friend's children but never their animals.

Just remembered to ask an Australian question.

Would a female kangaroo get aggressive if she was proteccting a joey? There was one in the school car park the other evening, just sitting near the entry to the school. It didn't move as I walked towards it although the joey did dive in the pouch. The female was quite big, so I used a different way into school just in case.

CW - not an aussie, but I reckon mothers of all mammalian and marsupial species are pretty protective. Think you were wise to take the different way!
