How did you know I've got three (3) self-invited visitors due sometime within the next week? :upset:

I'd rather have a mooey, an over protective kangaroo and joey, and a stock horse than three uninvited visitors (the holy trinity of whereareyoursocialskills )
If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

I'd rather have a mooey, an over protective kangaroo and joey, a stock horse and three (3) self-invited visitors than look after somebody's baby for half a day. Babies scare me shitless.

                    Hello Undies.

Thought I'd pop in for a quick :wavin:.

I'm not crazy about uninvited guests either but what I really dislike are unannounced guests that just show up without warning. My brother-in-law used to do that quite often - show up for coffee with his two daughters early Sunday morning. I always wondered why he could call from his cell phone for us to go down and unlock the gate to let them in but couldn't call from his house before leaving to let us know they were coming over...

Scared of babies, Tawny? They really don't do much except sleep and cry when they're hungry. Older kids are the scary ones - when they're 2 to 3 years old and running around like dervishes. Then unruly teenagers. They scare me. Glad all of that is behind me. Til I get grandkids of course...

Sorry, I'm with TF on this one. I don't want to laugh at your hardship but this has given me a laugh.

Look on the bright side - at least you weren't in your pyjamas and slippers with hair rollers in!
Just got off the floor Ficksy, laughing my ass off. Honestly though who gives a fats rats clacker what you are driving and or what you wear??? Let that be the least of your worries. I attended a funeral recently whereby the family of the departed turned up in brand spanking new pink fluffy slippers!!!!!! And ya know what....who cares? I gave up long ago worrying about the social niceities, conventions etc. etc. in fact I prolly go out of my way to look as unusual as possible, just to assert the idea that I am not what I am clothed in, drive in, housed in etc. I am in fact not defined by anything other than my bloody humanity which I share with six billion others...that is more than enough to satisfy my need to be a part of a clan. I am not a lonely man, I have a clan (Rowan quote). Rambling aside, hello my lovley undies...........I will read back and catch up laters

Babies are the bomb Tawn, I cant wait to be a grand mummy. I think that I will enjoy grand babies so much more now that I have some time under my belt and not so bloody restless. They really are no different than baby marsupials...need food, shelter and cuddles. Thats not so hard. The middle aged babies are the ones to watch out for:H

                                Hello all my lovlies,

I have missed you all so much. Life has taken so many twists and turns in the last few months..alll for the better, but alas, I havent had time to sit down and have a decent MWO natter. Right now I am high on life and relishing ever single day, every single breath of my existence. I work hard physically and mentally/emotionally, which is a perfect combination for staying absolutely present. On my feet for around 15 hours per day/3 days a week and then home to another life. the contrast is so healthy, it makes me want to give all of myself for that time and then on my time off, I can completley rejuvenate. I am so blessed undies, It seems a bit surreal. This work is definitley what I am cut out for, that was what my apprenticeship was all about. I am at the coalface of human struggle/despair/revelation/growth/despair ad infinitum every day and for that I am honoured.
