    I have tried for years to teach Hubs all the plants at the lakehouse....azalea, crepe myrtle, flaming pagoda, hydrangea (one of my favs)....he never remembers and calls everything, even a pine tree a "varigated hydrangea":H:H
    Trucker...do you need me and Rubes to come open up a can of whoop ass? We've offered before and it's a standing offer for any family member......

      Biz, thank you so very much for calling Trucker. I forgot ya'll lived so close, so I pray you are answered prayer for him! Saving, it is so wonderful to see you post! I hope you are feeling better. I am praying for you and your situation, sweetheart! I talked to Trucker this morning and he has been sitting in the courtroom, waiting to see a judge about an emergency hearing. Otherwise, he will be homeless until the end of Febrary, so I pray he can talk to a judge today. I don't think he has a lawyer. Like Trucker, I am so thankful to be a part of such a loving and caring family. I pray God will pour out His blessngs on each one of you today. I also talked with Bird on facebook. She says she's okay, but I'm not sure. Mailing her something today to hopefully, help her feel better. I am waiting on one more order and then I will be mailing all of you that I have addresses for some dvds and other resources, so if I don't have your address, PLEASE pm me it. I love you all so very much! Love, Vicki

        Good to see everyone here. I'm working on a special project for one of my 'sisters' here, (can't do one for everyone right now, so no squabbling!! :H)
        Lazy day today, too, but I have to go back to town Friday, so tomorrow must finish my cleaning, straightening. Thinking I'll hit the road to the cabin Sun or Mon. Hubs will be gutted!!!!! But we have a date to keep the kids next week for a few days. SIL has made secret plans to take daughter on a romantic getaway, to a spa/resort. So we're thrilled to have the time with the babies, since Hubs LOVES playing with the boys like he's a kid himself!! LOL
        Hope everyone is having a good day. Truck, I'll be calling you, but lean on your family here right now. You have come so far, and you are important to us all. :huggy to you, brother.

              In the news today: ASA: Diet Soda Tied to Vascular Risk, With Caveats:

              Drinking diet soda -- but not regular soda -- was associated with a greater risk of stroke, MI, or vascular death in an older, multiethnic cohort, researchers found.

              Individuals who reported drinking diet soda every day were 48% more likely to have a vascular event through more than nine years of follow-up (RR 1.48, 95% CI 1.3 to 2.12), according to Hannah Gardener, ScD, of the University of Miami in Florida.

              There was no such association for less-frequent consumption of diet soda or for any level of regular soda consumption, she reported at the American Stroke Association's International Stroke Conference here.

              I now need to decide which is worse. Alcohol or Diet Coke. I can't give everything up. :upset::upset:

                    Still, the researchers aren’t ready to tell
                    consumers to skip diet sodas. More studies
                    need to be done before that happens, said the
                    report’s lead author Hannah Gardener, an
                    epidemiologist at the University of Miami Miller
                    School of Medicine.

                    “I think diet soda drinkers need to stay
                    tuned,” Gardener said. “I don’t think that
                    anyone should be changing their behaviors
                    based on one study. Hopefully this will
                    motivate other researchers to do more
                    studies.”

                            I don't take a lot of studies seriously...remember a few years back when researchers discovered a link between coffee consumption and heart attack? Then, the results were disputed about twenty minutes later. Anybody can conduct a study and twist it any way they like. Those people in the study may have had other factors in common that figured into the results.

                                Rubes, I have a gmail account. It seems to me that I just googled it or clicked on "gmail" and started an account right then and there. It leads you through it.
