I have another REALLY big one, but it may piss alot of people off.
Well - now you have to post it. :H

OK, just in from work rang electricity supply co. who owe us 50 euro. HELD for 17 mins, another 10 mins answering security questions - despite them KNOWING that the a/c holder is hubs not me - then tell me 8 mins later that they can't issue the cheque to him - to his name - without talking to him. 'Are you the account holder?' DO I SOUND LIKE A JOSEPH!!!! major rant!! Feel better now

I hate call centre staff...I appreciate that their job is hard but there is no common sense. I feel for ya Molly! Maybe we should start a rant thread! X

            OK, here goes then....

I hate accidental pregnancies. I was the result of one and it's hard to go through life knowing you weren't planned / wanted.

I'm now 40 and I have one planned son - that's all I wanted. There are so many contraceptives available now that unwanted pregnancies should be a thing of the passed.

Pah - that's not harsh...I think everyone can appreciate where you are coming from and ultimately it is your opinion.

              I actually agree with ya.

                wow, great thread

I am irritated by people who:

                - speak a foreign language in the company of those who can't understand what they saying.
                - look at me with pity and say "oh what a shame" when I tell them I don't have children.
                - use the term "mens jobs" and "womens jobs". I want equality and can't relate to women who play the victim to get out of doing something.

Well that's my 2 cents worth. I'm sure there's more....
Don't tell me it can't be done until I'm finished doing it.

Shanny - I have worked with people that have done the foreign language in front of me thing. They speak fluent English but would switch to Spanish while I'm sitting right there at the same table with them. I finally said - that's very rude. :H
Never, ever bothers me when it's the people that are not as fluent in English. Actually, they are the ones that try so much harder to include me in the conversation by speaking in English even though it would be so much easier for them to switch to Spanish.

Well, it happened, and they can't send you back!! I don't think i was a planned pregancy either. My mum whinged about the fact that she had kids, constantly. I've very rarely felt appreciated by my mother, it's a shame. But, i have gotten over it by loving myself and realising i have a right to be here, just like everybody else.

And then i think "too bad", you're stuck with me now! Karma, lol. Sometimes i think that the least i can do is make a pain of myself, if all else fails. Lol

I love your response! I used to make a pain of myself too! Then I moved to Australia (from the UK), so I am out of everyone's hair. Not only was I a mistake but my brother was too. My parents ended up with 5 children when they only wanted 3.

                        Hi Charlotte,

I'm sure it's not a case of you're 'outa their hair', maybe they were stressed out. One thing i've realised is that parents are people to and suffer from the same afflictions we all suffer from, including doubt, stress and the list goes on! I'm sure my mother is sick of being a mother, and i respect that to a certain point. If it was me though, i'd never get sick of being a mother, but each person is different. I'm sure the 5 of you gave 'em hell

I hate Irish people who go to Europe and chirp away in Irish at dinner table thinking they are so smart that noone around them knows what they are talking about. I ALWAYS make a point of making a quick comment in Irish to them as I walk out - they know they were rumbled!
I was the 3rd daughter in our family. My Mum and Dad always said 'we never wanted a son' - yeah right!!

When my dad was drinking he would always bring up the fact that he sacrificed his life to bring up me and my sis after my mom died. I can appreciate now how difficult it must have been to be left with two young girls at 29 but still. It's a pretty rotten thing to say. I remember the last time he brought it up. I said to him that he chose to have children and we didnt ask him to sacrifice his life and that he couldn't guilt us over an event that was totally out with our control. He never said it again.

Mine too. We have a major one amongst our class mums. She has feigned various illnesses over the last three years to get attention. Now we ignore her, she has started to target the new families at school.
