    Army Thread 6th Feb

    Oooooooooooooooooooh!!!! and Urrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!!!

Morning/afternoon/evening (delete as appropriate depending on where you are) all

highlight of today is Torres vs Liverpool, though I expect we'll get beaten.

Had an invite from my brother to spend a couple of days cycling with him over half-term (he's a teacher). Wouldn't mind the exercise but will probably say no as he gets up around 6am which is not long after I turn in for the night. I don't think he has much of an understanding of my need to drink, so that would cause problems as he hardly drinks at all.

Am starting to enjoy walking for an hour every night now, even when it is cold or wet (which is practically every night at the mo). Roll on the spring. 25km Mario? Impressive! When Mrs A is back on her feet, perhaps we could arrange an anonandonandon vs Mario on a bike race? Kind of like a man vs horse thingy....

Thankyou everyone for all yoor good wishes, i was not the slightest bit nervous and found it very easy to chat away to the two lovely Irsh fellows interviewing me! We sat on the terrace having coffee with a view to die for, i really really want this job. They will let me know tomorrow if they want me back for 2nd interview......

Sounds hopeful Chilly. Wot's the job? And.......at the risk of asking a silly question, why were you being interviewed by two Irishmen in Portugal? I'm guessing that you might not be Portuguese yourself?

Recluse - im Scottish! Yes have another interview in Scotland in 2 weeks time but i'd much prefer the job here and to stay here, Scotland is a kinda last resort. Its an Irish owned business which operates in Portugal. Sooo want it, at least i havent long before i find out.

Mario, get your ass over here! I want to take you cycling, i did 20km yesterday.

Have got a soft spot for Scotland. Used to load up a rucksack with a tent and sleeping bag and food and wander off into the mountains for a week or so when I was younger. Places like Torridon or Carrbridge. It always bloody rained though, so I can see why you would want to stay in Portugal.

Hi Mario - I's fine. Shaking away & keeping one eye on the footy and the other on the army thread. Still early in my day, so hoping to do a bit of DIY later in preparation for selling the house. Been wondering what you do for a living?
