Hi Limey! Everyone has said it all - and yes, you sound like a great Mum. As I move along stuttering and starting on this whole venture, I agree with Oney, it takes a while to disassociate with drink - it was such a big part of our lives - but it does seem to happen with time. Lots of situations now that the very very first thing I would think of was drink - I just don't think of it, it's like I've forgotten the association - does that make sense? Doesn't unfortunately mean I always think like that. Don't know if it is correct to say this here but I will anyway. Sometimes I think there is an over emphasis on when we drink and the shedloads of times we don't drink sort of get lost in the equation. I know that to alkies like me drinking is a calamitous event - but it happens unfortunately and rather than agonizing and mentally putting ourselves back into 'drinker mode' maybe we should congratulate ourselves on what we have done and vow to be there again? Just my tuppence worth and probably VERY 'politically' incorrect.
Are you coming to Oney's birthday? I'm dying to meet you!

Hiya Limer's!
You have alway's been an inspiration to me, as a person, and as a parent. You will get to where you want to be, because you want to. It's just about changing how we think, i.e. it's friday night, so i deserve a drink like everyone else, etc....well, that's just a habit/routine that we've become used to, and a habit/routine that we can and do break. It just takes time i've found. Keep going, and build up your AF time. It takes time for our mind's and bodies to re-wire themselves, and learn and develop new habit's/routines and lifestyle, but it can be done. I've done it, many here have done it, are doing it, and you can do it too.
Take it easy, kick a bit of arse, and go for it.
