      Ew Ireland needs change to get the economy/country going again,wont go into it to much as politics here aint allowed.

        Do you you not think it's a wee bit of a coincidence I'm flying to your fine capital city on the 26th Feb,mario.

        They're going to crown me Queen of Ireland. It's a slow but sure take over of the world by the Geordies.
        It could be worse, I could be filing.

              Yep - you guys have an economic situation similar to ours I think. Good luck on getting out of it. Government here making a lot of cutbacks on public servant salaries and lessening pensions and raising income taxes. Not fun. Going to take forever to get us out of this slump and get the national debt paid off. If we ever manage it. Lots of strikes against the new measures and they cost the country a small fortune every day they happen. I don't really follow things that much but Mr. Stirly does and he keeps me up to date...

                Mario - I was once in Amsterdam and there was an Irish gentleman, it was his birthday. I offered him a dri nk. He called me an English bastard. Apparently I had kicked his Gran's flower's down....i hadn't, it was a soldier.

                My question is...i am a bit tainted by it...how do you feel? how best not to be bitter to be called a bastard because of where you were born?

                    Why do you feel so tainted by it ? People when drinking say all sorts of things to each other.

                      The man (I wouldn't have called him a gentleman BTW) obviously had a serious problem with the English people. But that was his problem. Don't let it be one for you. Just forget it. Leave upsetting thing from the past just where they are - in the past.
