Yesterday I had some sad news. A friend from my past was found dead in his flat through alcohol. He was only my age, so glad I stopped when I did.

Good morning all And Hi to Mario,Starty, Expat Tips and Cassia.

Feeling a bit sore and miserable today as when I was out walking to the dentist yesterday I tripped AGAIN and fell flat on my ribs etc. and now everything hurts and my confidence has gone.

So Expat my running apprentice you will have to start running for me as i think I will have to stop.:upset:

Good morning Tips, Expat, Starty, Mario, Cassia & Anon from a very blustery rainy Portugal. Anon ouch! You poor thing, i think the Universe is telling you to take it easy.

Starty i have lost two people i know in the last 7 days who were both in there 40's, not alcohol, one was cancer and the other a stroke but its devastating when they are your age and you realize they had plans for the future just like me.

Starty Yes it is great that you gave up when you did To die of this Alcohol disease is such a waste

Chill so sorry about the 2 deaths you wrote about Cancer and Stroke both equally vicious but remember we have increased our chance of preventing them both by giving up the booze.

Starty, I am so sorry about your friend, it is a horrible way to die.

Chill, I am sorry for your losses too, it really hits home when people our own age die.
