                  Only damaged some sheets and pillows in the airing cupboard thankfully

                  Yep check the thermostats, and google to see which one is water temp

                    No, my plumber wore a boiler suit, thankfully

                    Really glad it wasnt to bad....all the work we have had done on the heating system will cost a small fortune tho.....

                      Zenners - did you see a doctor about that bite? Maybe they could do a blood test to see if you have venom in your system. I have seen pics of people bitten by those spiders. Not nice, not nice at all...:no:
                      And best of luck to your Mom. Mine had hers done a few years ago and can read and drive without glasses, whereas I wear them for both...
                      I'm sure that in Canada you set the temperature you want on your water heater and leave it there. I was talking to my mother the other day and she mentioned that a friend who goes south for the winter turned her furnace down low and the water heater also, but leaves them on all the while she's gone so the pipes don't freeze.

                        Afternoon lovelies, just a quick check in to let you know that I haven't fallen off the face of the earth (or the wagon :H:H:H) things are just really hectic at the minute, and I cant check in here without reading all the other threads and getting all frustrated with what people are saying, then all of a sudden I've been here for hours ........... so I'm saying hello to all my lovely army buddies and not even peeping outside the barracks!!!!

                        EW hope today has gone well, Tips is the presentation done yet???, Waggy hope that you get good news :l:l:l

                                :l Stirly and Starty, We should get the keys to the new place on friday 15th April, but unless we have an offer on ours by then we won't be moving straight in because with the housing market being so slow I don't fancy the chances of selling ours while its empty!!!
