Luckily I had just finished my tea when I saw it. Otherwise I would have spit it all over my screen and keyboard. This is what JC said when she saw it. JackieClaire;1061224 wrote:

Yes, I remember you saying that before and I think it's a very wise move. After all, the new house will still be there whenever you're ready to move. And as I said the last time, you have furnished your home in such a lovely way, that it would be much easier to sell if people can see what it looks like the way you've got it.

I have had a good day, thank you. Getting our hot water heater fixed first thing this morning and for only 40 euro was a great start to my day. We had called another resident of our building, who does some plumbing, to have a look and he said he thought the boiler was shot and needed replacement. At least 300 euro and if we thought of installing a solar water heater that we were talking in the range of 1000 euro. So we got off lucky...
Are you feeling better, or still a little tired and such?

                  :hallo: Army

My presentation this morning went well. Phew! Now it's over and someone else will be chairing the proceedings tomorrow, so I can just sit back and relax and listen to the other presenters.

I do feel pooped tonight, though. I never sleep well well in hotel rooms and the anticipatory nerves didn't help much. Hopefully I'll crash out nice and early tonight.

Sorry to hear about all the boiler & plumbing problems... it sucks.
                  I'll do whatever it takes

Ooooooooooooh! Don't talk to me about boilers!!!!! My boiler packs up every time it goes cold and it's been very cold this winter. I have to stand outside in the freezing cold and defrost the condensate pipe for 15 mins to get it going again for another couple of days. What use is a boiler that stops working when it gets cold???

Afternoon Zenny, Starchypants, Stirly and Betty. Hope you are all getting your plumbing problems sorted. (That didn't sound right .)

                            Hiya BB :l

Wreccie: my intro for the conference was on "The Digital Workplace Maturity Model" and my presentation thereafter was about the role of Intranets in modern organisations.

LOL @ starchypants. Believe me, it is NOT starch that helps those y-fronts keep their shape

I'm fine Betty, hope you are too. Like you I have been refurbishing my house over the past couple of years and am hoping to put it on the market soon. I agree with Stirly's comments about keeping your house furnished so people can see what it looks like when it is lived in. What is your reason for moving?
