    Army Thread 16th February

Just had a very angry daughter on the phone. They're thinking about closing the child heart ops at the hospital where she had her hole in the heart done. Methinks a campaign is called for.

BBC News - Hospitals to be told to 'stop child heart surgery'
My very first nursing post was on a childrens heart ward. I feel very strongly that this is a campaign worth starting.:h
I remember clearly before all the recent advances in Paediatric Cardiac Surgery how many little ones I got ready for theatre and never survived. We cannot go back to those days.:upset:

I've just read it again and Newcastle only has a 25% chance of loosing their unit but that's 25% too fecking much.

You children nurses are a special breed. Especially having to put up with parents like us.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

What time do you want your early alarm call, Sir Tippers.

Tea and toast and a couple of poached eggs suit you.

                          Hi peeps,

I would like you to keep in your thoughts a couple we know who lost their baby girl aged 5 weeks. Her funeral will be tomorrow and she will be laid in a moses basket in the church, I am dreading it.
                          Thanks x
