Army Thread 23rd February
Good morning guys
Cassia - it's dry right now here in Ayrshire but I'm heading back to Glasgow to meet my sister. There is a big shopping mall called Silverburn I think we are going to so will be under cover!
I have to agree that the sunshine wins for me, I realize being here how much time I usually spend outside compared to this. Even in winter I always sit outside for coffee and by March/April I will be eating breakfast and dinner on the terrance. All this dry central heated air is crap for your skin, I feel like I can't breathe...."In the depths of winter I finally learned there was in me an invincible summer ."

I am going to see the guy today who has put me forward for it. The good news is that the company is opening a new office in San Jose and it is desperate for staff so being a us citizen is a big plus for them. The bad news is that I have to start a rung lower than I thought I would because of my lack of us experience. It also means moving back into accountancy but I am not that fussed about it as the prospects are good. So we will see!!! X'Breakfast, every hour, it could save the world.' Tori Amos

Hi Chilli.
No I agree and I will to move to the sun for the winters in years to come, just meant if there is no rain for weeks I miss it too.
Just visualising Oney now being helped off of the bus with her clear bonnet over the blue rinse, support stockings and a shopping trolley on wheels.Ethanol is a toxic chemical, why would I drink it?

I actually have a case on wheels with Chip and Dale on it...ask Fiona.
I have noticed i wake up parched every morning with a bit of a headache, i think it is the rad in my room as it is very near my head, gonna turn it off I think."It's not your job to like me, it's mine!"

Chill - ahhh...the silverburn experience! I have friends who practically live in there at the weekend. I have only been once. There is no bookstore in it which kinda killed it for me. It's good for shopping though. I am on the train to Edinburgh and it is just grey grey grey.
I can totally relate to the time spent outdoors! I really miss that! The great thing about California is all the national parks which I love. Living three hours from yosemite would be bliss for me. And I can fulfill my dream of becoming a park ranger :H'Breakfast, every hour, it could save the world.' Tori Amos

Good luck Cassia! Well, I need fresh air even if it's cold wet air. The cinema would be nice or a museum but I have seven yr old hyper boy with me all day. He needs to run and get dirty and scream and stuff. Good little boy things. So I found a compromise. We'll go to the Chateau de Versailles Gardens and have a look at Marie-Antoinette's country house the Petit Trianon. It's really lovely. And the child can run. We'll just bundle up in jumpers and wellies. And then come home for hot baths and tea. And toast with butter.

Good morning troopers.
Just a quick fly-by as I have to go to the dentist again today. Root canal over with last week - just a regular filling this time.KTAB;1064741 wrote: Has anyone seen or heard from Jan lately on that faceache thingy? Just heard on the news that two Irish people have been killed in the earthquake.KTAB - I sent a message to Jan on FB on the 17th of Feb. and dumb me forgot to check for an answer until yesterday. You can tell how much I'm on FB.:H:H Anyway, Jan answered me the same day. She is fine, just very busy with Ollie, work, school and the gym. Also she's starting to get her teeth fixed and that's taking up some time as well. I'm sure she'll check in here some day soon.
