No idea where the Christmas bit came from, but it put me in mind of a golden oldie from John Lennon.

Good morning Troopers!! (sweet dreams to Zenners)

Zeppie - my thoughts are with the people of Christchurch. I keep checking the news articles online and really the scenes are horrifying. Hopefully they will find the missing people soon and get them out of the ruins. There is always hope for rescue as long as they can stay alive until they're found.

Tips, Mr. Stirly had problems with his stomach a couple of years ago Controloc was prescribed for him then and he's taking it again for a 6-month stint to help protect his stomach from the other numerous medications that he's on right now. Don't know if Mrs. T. is on something similar. If not, maybe she could ask her doctor about this drug. Here's the link. http://home.intekom.com/pharm/bayer/controlc.html

              Hiya Startypants!!

Reccie are you up early or up late?

Morning Army, Slooow lazy start today. Coffee's ready but pug dog needs a quick walk. I don't think I'd ever have got a dog if I knew I'd be living in a flat-on the second floor. But he's part of the family now (7 yrs with us!) so I can't complain too much.

                  howdy Stirly and Expat,
Yes the mood is very grim in canterbury. I only wish there is something that I could do.

Morning stirly! Up late, but today I will collect a prescription for melatonin to try and sort out 47 years of very late nights, so hopefully I won't be posting here tomorrow morning.

Morning expat. Where are you off to with Tigger today?

Zeppie - is there anything I can send you from Wgtn?????? I would be really happy to do so. We have put food and toiletries on the City Council truck going down on the ferry tonight, and there are lots of Chch people staying up here. But if you need anything PM me and I'll get it sent down tomorrow.

Hiya Missy B - as far as I'm aware they have loads of things in Chch, it's just a matter of trying to find all that are missing. But thanks so much for the offer. It's really just a matter of sitting back and waiting and hoping they can find more people alive

                          Good morning guys

Too many sad and tragic stories in the world at the moment, a close friend of mine who lives in Libya is here in Glasgow at the moment but her husband is in Tripoli and so far has no ticket out, she also has 3 dogs there in their house which is just 10 mins from the centre of the capital.

On a lighter note more rain here, getting used to an umbrella being a permanent accessory and having frizzy hair!

yes, I know. We all just feel helpless.

I was supposed to be doing work in South Canterbury and North Otago over the next 3 weeks. We have canceled most of it, but I will be coming down to do some stuff in Dunedin/Oamaru/Timaru in the week of the 21st-24th March. Keep it in mind just in case anyone (you/ your family/ the local Plunket or vet/ whoever) gets stuck, has need of supplies, has shortages of anything.
