Cassia - people have different experiences and different opinions. The world would be a very boring place if everyone agreed with each other all the time. All you can do is post honest well meaning comments and if others don't like it then it's not really your problem.
Also, and I think this is very important, many times I have seen people respond to a post and it is obvious that they read the post over very quickly and didn't really get what the poster was writing. There are a lot of humourous post here and a lot of fooling around. However, if someone has made a serious post, I think you need to read it over a couple of times so that you understand what the poster is saying.
Cassia, I was being facetious in what I said before. Not only have I seriously pissed people off over what I've posted, it's even been said about me that "Stirly makes mean posts". I have been yelled at, cursed at and practically told to f*ck off simply because I was stating my honest opinion. In fact at one point there were about 3 of us who had a very strong opinion on a drinking and driving issue and we had half the active MWO posters out to lynch us because we had the "nerve" to reproach that person for their actions. After sticking to my beliefs and explaining what I meant in three differently-worded posts, people finally realized what had angered me so much and why I had reacted as I did. Why I didn't just pat the person and say, okay, you messed up, just don't do it again.
I have also been asked to not post in mauve because it hurt one member's eyes to read text in that colour. My reply was that if they had a problem with mauve, yellow tinted glasses would solve the problem. Said very sweetly of course. For every 60 seconds that you are angry, you lose a minute of happiness.
