Hello Troopers (well, hello to deserted barracks)
Good to see there is some action here earlier today in spite of most of the Army being in Dublin.
What fun they're going to have. I didn't realize that Jackie had posted this morning but I called her just 15 minutes before she was to leave the house. She sounded so excited - like a little kid.

Just had the best of very best news! My 46 year old boss who is also one of my very best friends has just half an hour ago given birth to her first baby and all is WONDERFUL! I am so so happy for her. Posted only a few mins ago on Beans thread about booze taking joy out of things -- at the moment I couldn't be more joyful - this is going to be a brilliant day and my friend is a happy new mammy - I AM SO GLAD TO BE SOBER (not shouting just BUSTING:h)Molly, that is fantastic news. Thanks for sharing it with us. Wishing the new parents and baby all the best. They must be beside themselves with joy. P.S. I didn't know you were going to the meet up as well. Great news.

Molly what wonderful news. As a midwife I know that the odds against a 46 year old giving birth and all being well is almost miraculous.Mrs. A, in July of 2009 a woman who lives in our apartment building gave birth to fraternal twin boys. I don't know for sure how old she was at the time, but I estimate between 46 and 48. They are their first children and today they are healthy 19-month old little boys. It is a joy to see how happy those parents are that they finally managed to have their babies.

Start by doing what's necessary, then what's possible and suddenly you are doing the impossible.
