Hiya RC. This is going to crack you up.... Remember I told you that the people who used to own the Princess Sodalite Mine were very good friends of our family? Us kids all grew up across the street from each other and the parents of both families were really close. The Fathers have died but my Mom and Mrs. B. still maintain very close contact and have tea and such quite often. She is a dear but a bit odd at times. My Mom had her over for tea one day and served an especially delicious dessert. Mrs. B. liked it so much that after she'd eaten as much as she could with her spoon, she lifted the plate and licked off the rest. My Mom was a bit shocked to say the least but said nothing. Just a wee quirk her good friend has...:H:H:H

Mr. Tips, not leaving you out of the conversation, but RC lives not that far from where I grew up and very close to the lake where Mr. Stirly and I spent our honeymoon.

One time Mrs. B. had invited my parents over for dinner and right after they finished eating and had gone to the living room, she got out the vacuum and started to vacuum the rug under the kitchen table. Mom couldn't figure out why she didn't just wait an hour or so until her and Dad had left...:H:H

Right, I'm outta here for a bit. Saturday evening grocery shopping. Laterz...

Reccie - almost missed you there...:wavin:

Talk about bad timing - I turn up as stirly is leaving :upset:

Good news about the students and Mrs T and the pecan tree tips - err..what is a pecan tree?

            Lovely doggie Zeppie

Good news re your friend Molly. 46 is old!

How's the new job going EW?

Stirly, my Danish grandfather used to the licking the plate thing when we went over to Denmark to stay with my grandparents. My father thought it was hilarious. Actually, I do it as well sometimes ops!: One of the advantages of living alone is you don't have to mind your table manners

            Hello RC!

After all that talk of choccie cakes, I wonder if stirly will be buying one with her groceries

Hiya Mrs A. Watch out for tree roots and such like, won't you? We don't want you breaking your ribs again. And good luck with the race - gets me breathless just thinking about running.

Haha you've put my mind in a bit of a tailspin wondering what could be going through this person's mind. Licking plates, anal about vacuuming.....at least she didn't lick the floor up.:H

Recluse-I live alone and have been known to give a plate a good cleaning in such manner too.

No worries (I hope) I think I've tried them a few times and they are a forgiving bunch. Although Tips hasn't said a thing about me stealing the cake.:H

Either he's gone off in a huff or maybe he's gone off to buy another cake...

Wonder what's happening in Dublin. I want a blow by blow account of the proceedings, complete with pics, and full details of any plate-licking activities.

Anyways, I am now backing away from the computer. Nice to share a laugh and housekeeping tips with you.
