Underoos and International Guests, March 2011
Oops, time's up. Will log in in the next couple of days.
PS Locals are friendly and courteous, and many have expressed their thoughts and concern for the New Zealanders. So would you pass that on to Missy and other friends across the Tasman.
Also say hello to Techie for me.
Will have some snaps to put up when I get back
Catch yers, and my love to you all.
Please be safe.

Raggsy, I missed you! Lovely to hear from you though, and look forward to more goss and pics when you get back.
Missy, your weekend away is a beautiful way to honour your brother's memory. Although it will be bittersweet, it will be healing, I'm sure. All my best wishes go with you all.
Mr G, you sound so positive and happy as always. What a great role model you are.
Saphy, I get these emails re relationships from Christian Carter sent to me. I don't often read them, seeing as I'm not in the market for a man, but some of what I've read is quite interesting...he writes with women in mind helping them to get inside a man's head. Might be worth Googling, or PM me if you like and I'll go and dig up the site myself for you.
Tawny, I love Autumn too. Cool, crisp mornings and evenings with bright, sunny days. Glorious! However, it signals the end of Summer and my favourite season of the year. :upset::stomper: What a pity the kasundi was runny and tasteless. I wish I had my old recipe. The 10 000 internet ones are pretty good but my famous kasundi recipe was better.
Bridge, you're such a treat, girl. Your posts always make me smile.
Well, back to the garden as the artificial turf goes down on Friday. Hurrah, the back will be finished. I'm so excited as everything else is looking fabulous...the walls, the gardens, the patio...this will finish it off perfectly. I could never have even contemplated this Summer's effort while I was drinking.
Have a wonderful day everyone.:h Mish :h

oh no!! I missed Rags!!!! :l:durn:
We had 2 mins silence today for Chch and I think it was marked around a lot of other places as well. It was very moving. More names of confirmed dead keep coming out, and although I don't know any of them personally, in a small country like NZ, there is only one degree of separation for many of them - family and friends of friends and workmates. One of my friends got particularly distraught today ....... her elderly mother had assured her that she was fine, and not to worry about coming down. Turns out that her mother got carted off to a welfare centre yesterday with a suspected fractured wrist and very little food or water left, but didn't want to worry anyone because other people were worse off than she was. I think we've had some discussions before about the stoicism of the generation of those who went through the blitz .......
TF - the group thing starts tomorrow!! I'm not that anxious, but I have given myself a good talking to about going with an open mind I've done something like that in the past and hated it, but mainly because I was so different from everyone else in terms of gender and age :H From the sounds of it, this one is much more "people like me". Anyway, I'll let you know tomorrow!
Beagle - hope you check in and let us know how you are today.
I'm going to spend some time o the weekend making kasundi! Never heard of it before but it sounds delish!
Bridge that book sounds positively dangerous :H:H
Hope we get pictures of the new garden after Friday Mish!!!
Now a word of warning ....... we re-organized our office today. It is much more comfortable and I have much more room, but my screen is easily visible to all and sundry. So if I'm not posting its because there are other people in the office! But I'll go back to my early morning posting as I'm always the first one in and can happily spend the first half hour of the day emerging myself in MWO!!!Never give up, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn

Missy - please realise that whichever one of the 10,000 recipes you use to make your kasundi, it will NOT be as good as Mish's. Do NOT be disappointed. You will be giving it your best shot. Now if Mish could just find HER recipe and share, all would be well in the world.
We/I joined you in the two minutes silence. Very moving. Nuff said. It's probably a really dumb, girly question but ... how do you start cleaning up? Where do you put mountains of concrete? Tons of steel? I can't wrap my head around that.
Today's big activity was cleaning out the garden tool shed. Pristine. Nine, yes (9) pairs of secateurs are sharpened and WD-40'd back into complete commission. Tomorrow I'll oil all the handles of the rakes, hoes, spades etc. Then I shall repair to the potting shed and see what I can tidy up in there.
Made a killer Gnocchi with Blue Cheese last night - it will serve me well tonight also. Orf to heat up and chomp.

Evening all,
Busy beavers on Underooters today folks. Good to hear from you Ragsy Baby. Missy my thoughts are with you today:l Gday to the rest of you larrikins. Eh Bridge can you extrapolate on the heading "Sex is like steak" that one has piqued my curiosity.
I have just finished watching a movie called Mother and Child starring Naomie Watts and Annette Benning. A tad slow but very poignant...I cried my bloody eyes out.:upset: Couldnt wait to log back here to balance things out again and all the talk of Quarrys, quoits and clackers has certainly fixed that:H:nutso::moon:I am a part of the family of humanity. RAGGSIE ... next time you check in ...
is it true that Techie is 4'11" and speaks with a distinct Esperanto accent? I saw that on KTAB's facebook page but would like confirmation.
Going hori now. Mwah, mwah, mwah.
