All good here, thanks. Finally getting my control back and being where I want to be in the world. Lots going on with son's school, my studies and husband's work but things are definately looking up.

Yesterday, hubby brought home a brochure for Kruger National Park so we are thinking about coming out next year. My sister lives in Durbs so a good reason to get over there.

Gosh, it was quiet last night!! Speaking for myself, I went to bed to read at about 8pm, and apart from a couple of brief interruptions slept until about 5 minutes ago. I've been sleeping the sleep of the innocent over the last week and it has been great.

CW - How exciting, thinking about a trip to SA! I haven't had a proper trip for some years - I've just been travelling vicariously through Rags and Tigger!!

I know you are all waiting with bated breath to hear about Caroline Knapp's other book. All I can say is that if anyone would like it, I'll pay you to take it off my hands :H

.... I now own a copy of Caroline Knapp's second book "Alice K's Guide to Life" :H

ROFLMFAO Missy at your bookstore adventure. Pity Caroline's other book sounds like a fizzer. Did she try and write about asparagus recipes or something?

Now, let's hope Tawny is home at a decent hour. I do get a little worried, but still somehow excited, by her big smoke shenannigan's. I swear i saw her on a tram friday arvo doing the crossword. She kept looking over at me, undoubtably thinking......'what IS that eeedgit looking at?!'

I checked my CCTV footage of the froghouse just a minute ago. It's in real time.
I'm a bit confused.
There's the usual. Froglet letting Bridget and Missy out. Froglet feeding the cats.
Then I panned over to the bathroom. There seems to be some strange man showering and shaving in Froglet's toilette.
I thought she lived alone.

And there's ............... hang on..........is that a trail of shoes and clothing from last night on the floor ??????
What does it all mean ?

Yes,
It was absolutely wonderful. Saw the desk and chair where he wrote. The furniture was the very latest, and rooms decorated in the most fabulous style. The butlers serving room was curved, with the serving bench of solid (mahogany?) also curved to fit. Kitchen had running hot and cold runnimng water.

I have just finished reading 'Drinking, a love story' by Caroline Knapp, and can really recommend it highly. Especially good for the girlies, although I'm sure there's something in there for the fellas. There were more than a couple of slap in the face moments in there for me.
I might post some exerpts, if you're interested ?

Got on to A&R and the book is out of print. Maybe post some poignant bits for us to contemplate?
