As I'm repeating myself (s0rry) I in love with you, I so love reading your posts. YES, I understand most of them, can google the rest. :H You are a great bunch, and would fit in here with little adjustment. I SO want to come visit your beautiful counytry one day. Hope some of you will be my tour guides when I do, cause I don't want to to do touristriy things, but your real lives. And believe me, if any of you ever come 'over the pond', I'll give you the tour of your lives, the REAL America. Truly, us REAL folks are so much like you. And your prime minister, or whatever the title, is my new hero!!! LOVE the straight talk. Keep it between the buoys, guys!!

        Well, well, well, Ruby,

A zillion years ago I had a tiny little tour business... aimed at local and overseas market. It failed because it was ahead of it's time for the stuff I was doing, and my husband died 18 months after we started up. But we met some lovely people. So, I will happily show you a few sights...... that are not quite on the tourist trail. Do you REALLY want to experience our real lives.... leeches, fixing ride on mowers, fighting garden weeds, watching out for drop bears ...... but thankfully not having to shovel mountains of snow!

        Our PM is called ...
Julia. But I still have a soft spot for Kevin, who used to be PM and is now our Foreign Minister.

Mr Rags and I wanrt to go to the US, buy a small (and I do mean small) camper and tour for about 6 months. So we might just take you up on that offer. It won't be for a few years though.... unless we win the million dollar lottery

When it was first established that mum couldn't live on her own anymore, I offered for her to come and live with me. She said something along the lines of "oh, but apart from you, what would I have there?" I remember feeling hurt at the time but figured - yeah, not everybody likes the country solitude/isolation thing.

As time went on I was extremely grateful that she didn't come and live with me - it would have been totally irresponsible for her to be so far removed from a major hospital. So now she's in Melb., very close to my siblings and all major medical facilities. Makes me breathe easier.

Suppose I'm just rabbiting on but Sapphy and Bridge - breathe and think rationally, in a calm manner. Yes, it's fusking horrible but it is what it is.

Happy - I'm so sorry. That's one hell of a load of sadness in such a short time. You have a very nice vibe. I think "hugs to selfs" will become part of the Undies vernacular. I'm glad you're here.

Raggsy - thanks for the pics. Can't believe the frozen omelettes. GACK!

I did my nana at the mower place today and called the salesman an obsequious sycophant, the mechanic an incompetent sloth and the manager a major wanker. After that little tirade I expect I'm going to have to wait another
four fusking weeks for a minor repair and service to be carried out. Wonder what I would have said had I been pissed?

Ficks, C Dubbya, MrG, International Guests ... who have I forgotten? I'm zorsted and going horizontal.

          Hugs to selfs, all.
What the fusk is obsequious sycophant when its at home.....please explain:H

Sapphy - any update on dad?

Don't yet know what the day will bring but it's bound to be good.

            Happy Tuesday, all Undies.

              'Morning Tawny,

yep, I'm fine, though Mr Rags left work early to get home. Toke him almost 2 hours having to detour round closed roads etc. This has at least watered the garden. I'll wait a few days for it to desog, and do some weeding, of which it is in desperate need.
Tuesday.... I have to get off my bum and clean the house. So see ewes later.

Ahhh farting dentists and Mower Mechanic abuse
I knew there was a reason I kept coming back.

Thankyou so much for your thoughts you lot.
Mum's only 70, so this is the first time it's ever struck me that they're getting older.
I've always assumed that they would outlive me. Their lifestyle is impeccable, and they've never smashed their bodies about like a Guns and Roses groupie, like I have.
But you're right Frog, there is always going to be a point at which it becomes apparent.

Anyway, post the last lot of laser therapy, Mum's vision is now slowly returning in the good eye (Glaucoma, chronic, with an acute episode which has now left her blind R eye...for those that I haven't outlined this with )

So Jeez Sapph, keep us up to date.

Happy, you strike me as the kind of girl who doesn't hit the deck for long.

I reckon we hug ourselves and start kicking arse again Undies.

Rags, is the Sth Coast still there ?:H
If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

Fusking off as requested. So glad things are looking up Sappppphy!

Hey - look what I found. I've just spent (note I said 'spent' and not 'wasted') about an hour of my life watching this beauty! It's a Golden Orb spider, she spins beautiful golden silk. I watched her catch a small moth, wrap it up and chomp it. Watched a couple of her babies jumping around behind her and thought .... awww, how cute! Hit Mrs.Google and found - them's not babies, them's her husbands! They're dinky! She's about 5cm, the husbands are about 5mm. Spiders may not be monogamous but at least they're not heightist.
