    I wonder how that.....erm ......works

Well, maybe she's got another eight husbands stashed somewhere, making ten in total, (10 x 5mm = 5cm) so the job's right.

Happy ... I think she may eat the husbands ... useless little fuskers ...

            Tawny,

We have these spiders here in USA. We also have some spiders similar to these that we call garden spiders. They are a bit more colorful but spin some incredible webs.

My daughter-in-law thinks we are so weird because if a golden orb or garden spider takes up residence on our property where we tend to talk, we just let them be and find another route. :-)

However, once in the dark I walked through a garden spider's web and she was in my hair. Kind of creepy and icky, actually. I brushed her off without hurting her and then had the willies.

This is what our garden spiders look like.

Here is some information on the little male "tackers":

The female garden spider will sometimes eat the male spider after mating, but not usually. Rather the male garden spiders will usually mate with several females, and then often die from starvation and exhaustion, since they spend little effort feeding while searching for females.
Thought it a bit humorous. :-)

                    Hi guys.

Dragged myself out of the bottom of the wine bottle I have been in the last six months and back to square one - in desperate need of support.

Nice to see some old faces and some new ones too.

Hope everyone is doing better than I have been.

Hiya HippyC - welcome back. I read your other thread and I'm glad you're giving it another shot. Hell - not many people get it right from day one.

Wow, beautiful spider. I also have one at my front entrance, but not actually blocking the door.

Hippy, anything I can do? Do you have a plan you can put together to help yourself cut back on the alcohol?
