She's quite a woman indeed, Froglet. Just a pity she sucks at financial management. But that doesn't detract from her talent, of course.

So, duck cooked wonderfully well, shredded and waiting in fridge. Pottering round house, ask eldest locust to make sure he eats before going to movies this arvo and he says he's eaten, so full of duck he cant move.....eyewitness news will air report shortly....justifiable in the circumstances I think.

Happy - so was there enough left to do the lychee thing? Is the locust quite dead now?

Going hori now and I know the minute I do, the night shift will kick in and start gibbering. Oh, those young people ...

            So where's the Techie Meister?

What a day! But a good one. All homework completed and up to date for both son and myself.

We've just finished a Roast Lamb dinner. I still cook an English Sunday roast complete with Yorkshire Pudding unless it's ROOLY hot. It's quite warm tonight as we have no air-con and husband is too scared to open the doors. Husband is cleaning up and loading the dishwasher so the kitchen will be clean very soon. The Eng v SA cricket is on and son is off to bed soon.

Sorry for rambling on. It's been an unexciting day but I have enjoyed it. It's proving to me that I am getting some control back.

Hey CW - same sort of day. Unexciting but great in lots of ways that i'm appreciating more and more. Strung together duck curry and yes it was great, thanks for your concern TF, heavier on the fresh pineapple coz it tastes so great. Maeve and SBS Food Safari...yum. Night all, just going to tuck the bodies into bed.

I'm here Froglet. Just been dealing with life's travails, drama, and female induced hardships. Oh, excuse the latter I did mention drama. Thanks so much for asking about me. I'll brush myself off and will be back here full swing once this ad hoc project from hell ends. Please send me some nasty scathing remark so I know you still love me. I do miss you all. You, Bridge, G, Missy, Beags, Ron01, Mish, Rags, CW, Ficks, Reggie, Angel, Men At Work, handle oiling, shacklebacks, children, plants, an other living things. So, I'm going to try a Vegemite body masque and see if that helps. Will that require reportage??? LOL

                        See you all soon,

                          hi crew.
had a sleep in for reasons i shall go into shortly...
a lovely cooler day here 28 forecast & very pleasant to be horse-riding. pity i am not allowed for another 6 WEEKS argh shall go mad me thinks, prolly already half there.
going to be resting ( oh really/ what a change!!!) & might even get inspired to do book work.....lawd help me.....i have too much time on my hands.

BUT.....i had a good progress step FORWARD yesty.
I have 2 riding friends down here, not many others, who unfortunately both drink, one more so than either of us & generaly renowned for being shit-faced at most social occasions.Yesty was other friend's 40th party, a lunch at next town's tavern ( yes great huh).& we all piled on a bus.
Prolly around 20 peoples there, of which quite a few drinking heavily - shots, cocktails, wine, jeez. my 2 friends got fairly trashed. in fact very. but i didn't. i had 4 wines over 8 hrs, with heaps water in between. so stayed sober folks, yes. the perfect excuse to get pie-eyed ; friend's 40th, not driving, venue heaps of piss, everyone else (bar 2 who don't drink at all , & a few who lightly imbibe) drinking steadily. but i just didn't want to. sipped slowly at my wine & left it on the table most times. i am proud of myself.
a corner turned perhaps? who knows. i don't want to read too much into it,or get too excited. just quietly happy with my "normality". woo feckin hoo.

so pleased that everyone is thinking seriously about a meet-up. it will be very interesting & enjoyable if it comes about ok.

happy : i'm a huge fan of maeve & food safari also & have printed off some of her Morroccan & Greek recipes......yummo to the duck curry sounds amazing.

might drop back in later everyone.
back to the cashbook & transactions.

oh techie i for one would love to see you naked covered in only vegemite - one jar may not be enough depending on your measurements if you get my drift.
                            i've missed you also.
i reckon we need footage PLUS reportage tho thanks.

                              Happy lunchtime all Undies.

Flat out like a lizard drinking here today - brilliant weather, most conducive to garden activities. Dead-headed a couple of hundred (?) agapanthus flowers, great when they're all out in bloom but a bit daggy once they die off. Back out there to make the most of the day because they've predicted rain for the next three.

Hey Techie - who's looking after yer googies?

                              Will pop back after knock-off.

                              Vrooooom.

                                Arvo all,

Just read back and now have to have a cup of tea and a good lie down. Everyone sounds so fabulous!!!!!! The vibe here is infectiously upbeat and hilarious...laughed till I cried, and all that. Just the antidote to a bloody massive weekends worth of embuggerances. Wheres the embg spray when ya need it most? I'm honing my craft at a speed faster than I had ever imagined........just when ya think you have seen it all.......kapow!!!! guess what, no you havent!!!

Anyhow, I am now lounging on the lounge with my lounge lizard pants on and the cutest little dog this side of the black stump.

Beaglebum, I might just be able to make that 6th August gig. It means rearranging my work days, but with heaps of time up my sleeve, I cant see why not. It would be heaps of fun to meet you and everyone else who can get there. undies, if I can swim across Bass Strait sans life jacket and shark repellant, then youse lot can get to Melbourne too!!!!!
