That was lovely.
Everything was turned to 'off'.
No white noise. No light.
Bliss.

Made me wish I could be flying in some sort of satellite thingy so that I could watch lights turning off as we flew westward. Adelaide must be going out now. What a bloody blast.

I love the sound of the first fire of the season. I used to love that smell when we lived in the UK. We rarely see fires here now, it's just too hot. What day and night temperatures have you got there at the moment?

Well, we're off down to NSW for a week soon so I went out today to buy some new boardies. (It's a beach camping holiday so I shall be in boardies all week.) Is there any swimwear for sale? No! But, despite the temperature being 31 degrees, there are plenty of coats, hats, gloves and scarves.

Gidday undies .... sorry not to have been here for a couple of days. Got back from a really busy and totally crap week to remember I had a friend from Melbourne staying for the weekend. She's just headed off.

Have speed read the last couple of pages when I could get on line, so I know that a few peeps are dealing with EMGs. Have a few things to get done this afternoon (including clinque sale at the pharmacy where I have my frequent flyer card :H:H) and will try to get a decent amount of time posting later this evening.

But only one more week of daylight savings!!!! I'm going to try almighty hard this week to ge up in the dark and remember that it will only be one more week before it is light again!!

Hope those who have had a sleep in and are now just getting up make the most of the day in front of them!!!

And it's a brand new day. Nobody is going to get sick or hurt or try to top themselves.
Thanks Mr G, so much. She is doing a bit better, but now the real work starts.

Do you know Froglet, I think it was Freud and friends who said that we all possess a self destruct instinct. It strikes me that as pissheads we have an 'access all areas' pass to that instinct if we're tying one on. I also have a friend, who drinks very little herself, who just started dropping sedatives one night. NO IDEA WHY. That is so scary.

I had to laugh C Doublya. Hats and scarves in Brisvegas :H Wouldn't you need nobut a light cardi on the coldest days ? Those folk will do anything to flog clothes.

Fickle, I am bloody delighted at your Lepto find. I love people who get a buzz out of stuff like that. I'm just so happy for you that you're getting so much out of your house and garden. Re Earth hour: I was with some non observing friends last night, so I'm doing ours tonight.

I'm feeling a tad fragile and weepy today, so I'm going to hang out here for a bit.

I'll be over there on the lounge with my blanky watching Lifestyle on Foxtel if anyone wants to make me a coffee.

Morning all! Glorious day cant wait to get out amongst it!

We Earth Houred last night, kids did a trade off of no electronics in the afternoon, so they could keep the telly on to watch the Lions get done by those pesties from westies land. AFL footy speak. So it wasnt as peaceful as your evening TF. Kids now on school holidays so I have the pleasure of their company for two weeks, which isnt so bad, love not having to pack lunches....

Know what you mean about the clothes CW, god knows I've yet to wear a trench coat in Brizzy...

Love those plants Fickle. Bargain buys.

Well off to do some gardening, make it a brilliant day all!

Morning all,

I was just thinking ... we rarely talk about drinking on this thread ... but it's the other 'stuff' that brings a lot of pleasure and is most cathartic. Like Ficks squealing about cheap leptos, CW signing in public for the first time, MrG creeping in at 2am, Happy's locusts, Missy's potential Clinique buying frenzy ... just goes to show there's so much more to us pissheads.

Had a quick squizz through the Ovaries thread - seems only Tip and Chill played at Earth Hour.

Roight - orf into it. Doing edges today. Garden always looks better with nice clean edges. Toodle pip.

Morning Tawny,

You know, despite my 'wasted' years as a pisshead, I feel it's contributed positively to who i am, what i am today. Those 'wasted' year's weren't necessarily in vain, in part, and to a point. Ok, those years were a major waste of my time and life, but you get what i mean. I've gotten a lot of positives and insights into me, and the human condition, and been to places i would never otherwise have gone.

EDIT: To any children reading. Excessive partaking of booze and/or drug's is not being recommended here. I am lucky to be alive, and to have great health.

How are you going there Fick's, and how's your friend doing? :l
