Hiya Undies--thanks for the explanation Missy--I'm obviously too sensitive sometimes. Tawny your lunch looked yummy and I was impressed with portions. Although I eat well, I've become a bit of a hog--so seeing your plate was a good reminder. Sorry about all your troubles recently Bridge--but you're doing great! Mr. G I don't bowl much anymore--it's something I plan to do with my daughter soon. Saphy I sleep on the couch all the time-prolly different reasons than you-it is nice and cozy though with lots of pillows--sweet dreams girl!:l
I happened onto a program today that explained earthquakes, volcano eruptions and tsunamis. I always think of you folks now when the subject comes up. While the aftermath is devastating it explained that the earth was actually sustaining life by having these gaseous "exhales" or "hiccups". This science journalist explained that if the earth wasn't large enough to continue this cycle there would be no life and compared us to Mars. Mars was too small to contain the gasses necessary to keep the cycle going. These gasses have something to do with protecting our earth's atmosphere from the sun. So, in the bigger picture we could be thankful. It is unfortunate that the populations in the active areas is so high without a doubt though. Probably not the most scientific explanation. I always look for the meaning in things and this helped me. Aren't ya glad you asked.:H Be well folks. :l

Morning All. Hello RC, How are you?

AL talk now....I ROOLY struggled yesterday evening. I saw two people on the TV sharing Champagne and I wanted some too. I cooked the dinner and thought about going out the get a bottle. I identified that I was hungry and tired, took some L-Glut but still fancied. Somehow, I didn't go out. I told myself that I didn't have time, didn't want to miss Biggest Loser, didn't want to drive hubby's car (it was first on the drive), didn't want to smell of AL this morning at the gym. It wasn't easy but I did it.

                      Arvo all,

CW - well done for not giving in last night. The H.A.L.T principle is often talked about here when identifying triggers (hungry, angry, lonely, tired). I always found the hungry and tired were easy to fix, the angry took a lot more effort. How's the essay coming on?

RC - a few Aussie mates have mentioned the huge portion sizes of meals in both the US and Canada. Don't know what that's about.

MrG, Sapphy, Grinder, Missy - hi

If there is a "perfect" weather day, today is it! Absolutely stunning so back out I go. Pleased to note that my olive tree has produced enough olives to actually do something with them for the first time ever. ***claps handies and squeals***

Hugs to selfs and calm the farm.

I've just seen an advert for "6pm with George Negus" on Channel 10. Tonight they are going to be talking about "a miracle pill that is a cure for alcoholism." Apparently, Brendan Fevola is taking it.

I'm not sure if this is on all over Australia or just here in QLD.

                            Gday R.C.,

Thankyou for posting this info on the causes of earthquakes etc. I have to admit I know nothing about it all (bloody ignoramus), so having a bit of the science at the ready makes me feel a bit easier about it all. I just hope that the earth gets over its indigestion very very soon xx
