      I agree, Bridge, it's probably something we're all aware of but the world at large isn't.

      Having read some of the Med Threads recently, I suspect they're going to be talking about Baclofen. Some of the members there talk of it as a miracle cure and seem to think it's only a matter of time before it's readily available.

        Re Negus programme for those who missed it.

        Mention was made of Antabuse, Revia (Naltrexone) and Campral.

        No mention of Bac.
        If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

            Had a discussion about this in my group tonight. Naltrexone mentioned by counsellors, Champix/Campral discussed by punters, Bac not known/heard about by anyone else other than me. Overall, I though that the group was more informed about treatment (including SEs) than the therapists.

              Hi all,

              Bridge glad things have settled downa bit with your friend etc etc. Bloody frustrating when they dont acknowledge the seriousness of their situation. But ya know, as hard as it seems, I think that people only seek change when their suffering becomes too much to bear - as long as they live long enough. When I sought honestly to change, it came after I was so overwhelmed with suffering. I think that if suffering is bad enough, then we seek change, and that point is different for all of us. For me it came when I could no longer see a future for myself and that meant that I would lose my children. Other folk have their own yardsticks of what is tolerable and what is not. This may mean they seek help early late or not at all. depending on the definitions of suffering. I would love it if everyone became a watcher of the Eckhart Tolle visions for how we transcend suffering. It is through his insights that after a very long struggle I have become sober, humble and full of the bliss of living.

                Hello Undies,
                This is a very quick check in.

                Have been ill again and to make it worse, had to leave Doobie concert early. Mr Rags got me home and tucked into bedyy byes. Then I had to be at a conference Sunday... Dragged myself along then crashed again last night.
                Didn't watch tv, didn't get on computer, didn't read... Only just now feeling OK. Will catch up tomorrow with the last 5 days Undies posts.
                I am sincerely sorry for not keeping up with goings on at the Undies thread. And I miss not being with you. But just felt like death warmed up so to speak.
                Will catch up with everything tomorrow, just wanted to let you know I'm here and OK (well, sort of).

                  Evening,Well, an absolute PEARLER of a day weather wise here today. Did some gardening myself, (weeding) sorted out a bigger, newer, fridge for meself and upcoming new addition to the G-house.

                  A BOARDER.


                  In other news, i start 3 weeks holiday's this fridee! Yay, and double yay!
