            I'm sorry, thought I'd handle this better.Gator was a funny dog, weird in a log of ways, but even last week, when he was so sick, he struggled to climb the stairs to sleep next to me. And he ALWAYS tried to cram himself into any bed, chair, couch, he could, loved anything soft. He WAS in pain, and I was struggling with the next step. I believe God made it for me.

            Thank you SO much to all of you who have posted to me about this. A lot of people think it's silly, I know. But that's what makes this thread so special: the heart.

              Ruby..I am sooooo sorry...I remember all your posts about the last doggie you lost and how you went to bed with a bottle of vodka...look how far you have come.
              I am home, and as usual, tired. I went at 7:30 to get some extra work done....
              I love you all...must cook dinner..off to see Dad on Saturday!!

                  Rubes..my heart hurts for you....our pets - I really think dogs, especially, love us so much and unconditionally!! That is such a cute pic of Gator...looks like he is just a bit too big for that bed but he doesn't care-as long as it is soft. How is TMB handling the loss? I bet she is missing him too.                     Oh, Ruby, I am so very sorry over the loss of your dog, Gator. I can imagine the pain of losing Chloe. I might have to go to bed with a bottle of vodka. We do love our pets and they truly love us. RIP Gator. I know it is a sad night at your house and my prayers and thoughts are with you. Love, Vicki :l:l:l

                      Thank you all again, friends. TMB is seeming to be a little lost, so she's getting extra cuddles. Yes, Grate, that's why I took that pic. I have a HUGE dog mattress, big enough for both big dogs, but one of Ga's funny habits was his love of the little dog's beds! He would look like a circus performer, turning around 3 times, then trying to cram himself into one. One day I couldn't find him, and about 2 PM, finally found him curled up on a comforter in the guest room. He hadn't moved, I guess, all day, since he hadn't even been outside!! Great bladder control, I guess. I got him at a shelter where I volunteer, and he'd been found crawling down the center lane of a busy highway.
                      I sometimes wonder why I put myself in this postion, knowing how I feel when I lose one of them. But I can't imagine myself without dogs in my life. They are such a comfort, joy, and friend. As with any loss, I've been second guessing myself all day, but he's not in pain, he was loved, and he will be missed.

                        well another long day and getting really close to finishing and it looks great ..just small this and that to get done and i can lookforward to a few days off ..yep i call up the otherlady and asks other lady would it be ok if we just start that job on monday of next week and she was fine with that thak god ..and also inform me that i will be doing more tile work for her she been doing som thinking to keep me busy for a while .. so that will give me time to get one small job done and take the rest of the week off ... just hope it works as good as it sound writen down .. and well lady and gents .. sorry i havent been responing to each post..but i have been reading and well it might be going the same for a while ..with work is going on and coming in .. but i have to say im one sore puppy and hoping i can sleep soundly tonight ... have you ever work so hrad that you are tired but when it comes to going to be you just lay there thinking of work .. good night one and all..stay strong and shifting forward and thinking positive .. love and hugs

                          Morning everyone - Ruby, so sorry about gator, it is always SO hard for us when we lose a friend. Love the other dogs - they will wonder where he is.

                          I am SO tired this morning then it dawned on me - I actually got up at 4.00 (according to my body) no matter what time the clock might say it is. Hope you all have a great day - off to shower,

                              Hi Bill - do hope all is well with you - you must be getting the rain that we had two days ago - right now we have frost, but it is supposed to get up to 64 today!! Lovely. And tomorrow when I am off - low 70's !!! Wow! Garden and weeding - here I come.

                                Ive gotta go to work but just check in...Rubes so sorry about your Gator. Animals are just people with fur to me were all the same. Don't know what I'd do if I lost Pouncer, my constant companion and sleep mate.....gotta get...b
