    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D2GpHPJTw38[/video]]YouTube - Christian Dior's John Galliano's Anti-Semitic Outburst? Star Designer Suspended

What a disgrace. I am referring to his anti-semitic outburst.

For those who don't know, this purveyor of filth let rip in a cafe in Paris recently, only to be captured on film. As a side note, he had twice the legal limit of alcohol in his blood. He has subsequently been dumped by fashion house Dior for his actions.

Seriously, if he wants to talk about "ugly", he should look in his own backyard. Hopefully we won't have to be subjected to anymore of those curtains he calls gowns :goodjob:

I agree, he should be locked up for the 6 months BUT i have to say... i like his work =( i think he's a great designer... He's let the fashion world down badly. I'm glad dior have dropped him tho. He gets what he deserves..

Talk about a "Mel Gibson" moment. He sounds like a terrible person.

Morality cannot be legislated, mandated, dictated. Until the world concentrates less on differences and more on the individual human being, we have a quandry.
I'm FURIOUS at the power and advantages WE (yes, the public) give anyone of celebrity. In Hollywood, they become enamored with their own persona, they believe their own hype, think they have the answers to the world's problems. Keep in mind, while they're campaigning to solve those same problems, they are flying over them, first class; making photo op trips into them; taking the info they want and using it.
I'm afraid I'm disenchanted with the the whole 'celebrity' thing. They should have what we all have, at least here. One voice, one vote. Hatred of the different, and apathy, is killing us, and our children. IMHO

It's tragic to watch such gifted, entitled people be enabled in their downward spiral. Imagine being able to do, say anything you want, and have a group around you supporting and enabling you in whatever you do. They are a sickness on their own, and live off the sickness of the person they've attached to. They have no reality. I could name a lot of them, and the paparazzi feed on it too. So sad, but they have such a public face, so accessible. Think of the good they could do, if they were sober and sane.

The producers of his show dropped him, he's been making demands for 3 million dollars per episode (even though the show has been dropped ), he's been obnoxiously ranting against the producers on any talk show that will humor him, he's living with /dating both a twenty -four year old porn star and some woman who is the ex nanny of his kids ...his wife made a legal move to get the kids away from Sheen and his bimbos ...and that's just the basics. As mama says, the guy sounds high, or manic.

I do not think that I want to pass judgment on anyone with addiction issues. Addiction can and does not affect people at any one station in life. Rich or poor, educated or not, celebrity or not, addiction touches and destroys far too many lives. I think the recent news report of John Galiano, Charlie Sheen, Lindsey Lohan and so many more in the public eyes are only the public stories that we see. Those of us here know that many of these same scenarios play out each day across the world. No matter who it happens to, it is sad, sometimes traggic. I honestly do not think that addiction and it's affects are any worse nor easier on anyone due to who they are or what their lifestyle is. But I do think that we can all learn from any experiences that we see and have compassion for all who suffer.

Well that's a breath of fresh air from you Katie. I don't agree with his lifestyle, past or present, but I think his brilliance is still apparent. AND I'm not sure his kids should be alienated from him. The children should be the main concern imo. If they are not in harms way by his actions then get the man help to maintain that connection. That's a win/win.

Start by doing what's necessary, then what's possible and suddenly you are doing the impossible.

I feel fine about "passing judgment" on Galliano. In his case, he's carrying a heavy load of hate against an entire group of people. His drunken state merely allowed him to vent the racism that lay inside.
