    Army Thread Thursday 10th March

Hi Mario, I'm fine thanks. How're you? Did you enjoy your walk?

I'm amazed at how much exercise everyone in the army gets, what with you on your bike, Mrs A running marathons and others seem to go to the gym or yoga on a daily basis. Even the comparatively lazy ones seem to walk the dog about three times a day. At least if the army comes under attack, everyone will be fit for combat (except yours truly, of course).

Ya recluse i enjoyed the walk, but wrecked still from it, i might have pushed it to much today, I found when i got sober that having a healthy body was as important as having a healthy mind,

Agreed Marioman - I've long thought that a healthy mind and body go hand in hand. It is possible to overdo the exercise though, and also being over-active can sometimes cause injuries, eg when Mrs A broke her ribs. It's a question of finding the right balance.

Come on Reccy, shift that lazy arse and get moving. It really does help blow those depressing cobwebs away.

Afternoon everyone, Stirly, put some clothes on, you;ll catch your death like that

Nah, it's just a back. And a painting at that. Called "spineless".

You're right about a lot of the members here having pets and walking them several times a day. I start my day with a 2 kilometre walk with Freddie. Except if it's raining really hard. Most mornings tho' we manage it. There's a very nice little road just up from our house that goes out into the country sort of. Only about 10 houses on it. Lots of small vineyards and wooded areas. Today we saw new puppies that had just been born. I couldn't get a really good look at all of them but I did get a good look at one. Freddie's friend Daisy is the new mom. And Freddie is not the father. She's always inside the fenced-in property. And she's too tall for him or he's too short for her...

:wavin: Startypants. Almost missed you there. Off to put on a sweater....
