You be a gem John---can we make a difference???

Edostan is from Japan. He has a thread in the meds section. He seems to be ok. That nuclear thing is scary.

Thank you - what a wonderful site.

I have been watching a bit of the coverage on TV and online. Frankly, I find it very difficult to watch the videos and see the pictures of such wide-spread destruction. My thoughts and prayers are with the people of Japan and other areas affected, although on a much smaller scale, by the tsunami.
The nuclear reactor part is nothing less than terrifying.

Just in case some don't realize (as I did not) your candle only burns for 48. There are a few that will be burning out tonight. Hope you will light another in it's place.

My husband has worked for a major power producer, including Nuclear, for 35 years. Our good friend is retired from the Nuclear Regulatory Commision. They are scared. Hubs has been off 2 days, yet glued to the computer, reading and messaging. No, I'm not saying that he has some wonderful solution, but after a life time with that man, when he's worried, I know to be.
Today may be a day of great solutions or a historic catastrophy. What ever you do, pray, chant, etc., we need to keep them in our thoughts.
                            Thank you again, Tech!:h

The whole thing scares me silly! I am praying for those in Japan - with the earthquake, the tsunami and the nuclear reactor, I can't imagine what they are going through. Must be terrifying.
