    I got carried away with Crufts.

    Molls, I'd have to ring him and shout at him very very LOUDLY but he's probably so far down his poxy guinness he'll not hear anything but the beer tap.

        My BIL and SIL's son committed suicide about 15 years ago and today would have been his 30th birthday. My SIL is a raving alkie, and he isn't cos he only drinks in the pub (7 nights a week bout 10 pints a night) - yeah.         So sorry Molly .Families hey.

        Been to the pub myself orange and soda getting a bit boring but only ever want/need one.

          Yes, you are all so right, but since I' ve alienated all my own family I'm always reluctant to get involved too much with his!! I've calmed down now and I'm going to ring SIL. I gave up taking her calls a while back cos she'd be drunk at 7AM (pots and kettles come to mind here, but I never rang anyone :-(), so if she's still dry I'll give it a go. Thanks for letting me rant - talk to y'all tomorrow!!

              This module finishes end of march then one more module after that. Then I have to decide what to do next. I want to continue on to do the diploma which will be another 2 years but the location is awkward

                    Well not that particular one. Trouble is, the uni pulled out of the area right at the last min. Means I would have to travel about an hour away which is too much.
                    I MIGHT do a drug and alc counselling degree distance. But this particular diploma isnt offered distance at the mo. Might be in the future tho...

                          sorry to hear about the situation with your SIL today Molly. I have some slight understanding of how she must be feeling as my grandfather hung himself over thirty years ago and I still think about it a lot.
