Today, I will be sober. It might be another one of those days where the shakes start and the things I see scare me but I will keep every post here in my heart and know that I do deserve this. Sobriety.

I have always loved you..........and we are two of a kind

Medication is tough on some people and on bac we thought we would win.

but it was too hard and we both haven't given up trying.

I LOVE YOU FOR THAT :h

You just keep on keepin on and showing your determination and strength over and over.

I know I don't post much but I would truly be heartbroken if you weren't in my life.

Cinders...just wanted you to know that I have admired you from the 1st day that I started reading here. You are loved and we are all here to support you. You may have seen the below poem, but I like to be reminded of it myself from time to time...in fact, I have a plaque with it in my bedroom that a friend gave to me many years ago, when I needed it the most. :l:l


When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,

Cinders, I remember you from the early days when I first joined---good to know you're still here. I've stopped and started (and hit some baaaad spots) over the past 5 years, but as of today I'm 17 days AF. I'll pray for you as you work hard towards a sober life---pray for me that I can make it stick this time!

I'm so happy to hear from you because I think of you often.

It pains me that your family does not know how much pain you are in and how much you are struggling. I am also surprised that you are still traveling. I recall you were considering giving it up because it only added to your struggles with alcohol and I also know from previous posts that your family depends on you for the money, etc. but don't you think it is time that they took care of YOU? I know they must love you to pieces.
