    Levels of alcoholism

in reply to kittys excellent post ,thats one of the main reason i could,nt connect with AA , i cud tell people were sneering at me cos i only drank up to 10 pints of lager a night, even tho it was making my life hell .dont these people realise its not the amount ,its what it does to you,we are all differant.
by the way when i told my doctor how much i drank he nearly fell off his chair in shock, most probably i would get the same reaction from a normal person

As a former Bar drinker my consumption was different from day to day,I made sure i always ended up drunk but sometimes it would only take a few pints & shorts and others i be just topping up and be well on the road to stupidity very quick...............Glad thats all finished.

yeh i am mainly a bar room drinker and my consumption would vary from day to day, sometimes it would take only 5 or 6 pints to give me that buzz, that was usually after a 12 pinter the day before,i would average out about 70 pints a week tho

I think Ruby said it for me...its all to do with our own tolerance level, just think if i was to start drinking again my tolerance level would be low but it would not take that long before my tolerance to be high again and a lot higher then it would be last time. Hope that makes sense ! But i i will not be drinking again...
