Hello everyone:hallo:! Lots going on. I'll have to have a proper read back. I did catch the Ikea horror stories:H. We have them over here too. They do have some nice things but those are usually out of my price range. What I usually get comes in a box with about 200000000 litlle pieces that I have no clue how to put together.

I would be very leery of that too. I reckon you should have a credit card though, in case of emergencies... even if you only use it to buy online it will be there if you need to access cash for any reason. I have one that I use every day and another that's an "emergency" card and then my cashline card. The only place I use the cash card, apart from the machine, is the grocery store. I reckon that's pretty safe.
Don't really need a credit card. I always have some extra euro in my wallet on a daily basis when I'm shopping here in town. When I'm in the city, usually Mr. Stirly is with me and he always has a good supply of euro on hand. Not that smart, some would say, due to pickpockets and such but he is very careful and always has his wallet in an inside pocket.

I use PayPal too JC... I think that's the safest way to buy online... it buffers out your information.

Gawd, somebody tell me to get off my arse and do something constructive! Argh!!!
Okay, get orf yer arse and tell me how Paypal works. I've heard about it for years but never looked into it....

Ok, I think I might go to saint Patricks for some quiet solitude in a bit. Don't think they have wifi though.

haha, emo kids are (mostly) really fake melodramatic children who often claim to be depressed when they are in fact mildly annoyed, for example 'my mother said I could not get my favourite cereal today, i was so depressed I had to cut myself'. Alot of kids have their emo phase when they wear black, listen to very bad music and basically go through the difficult teenager period. Alot of people who aren't 'emo' joke that they're being 'emo' if they are genuinely saying something negative or are in a bad mood xD

oh and EW you just made me lol

I have a mate that can put those things together in the blink of an eye. She asked me to help her with a flat pack unit last year as she'd just had surgery... Well, heck, I hardly had time to reach for the screwdriver before she turned into a whirling dervish and built the bloody thing!
:upset: I'm jealous!! What I really prefer though is old stuff. Not talking about fine antiques but just real old furniture (that you don't have to put together yourself). The problem is when I find it at the flea markets here -- I have no way to get it home as I don't drive. I have managed to get a few pieces home though with lucky timing-a friend around who can help out! But if I can carry or drag it-I'm fine on my own!

haha, I was an emo for about 6 months at 13, a goth for a couple of years and then got bored and went a bit grunge (minimal effort) and that one stuck haha. loving the pic of the emo kid JC, forgot to mention their love of dodgy anime xD

I've got a frined who's daughter went through the emo stage. She had waist length blond hair, disappeared upstairs for a couple of hours and came down raven black.

My friend just sat gob smacked and eventually managed to squeak ........'that looks nice'.

She lasted a year as an emo then became a goth.
