I found a load of Almay moisturizers in the Dollar Store for $3 apiece (should be called the Three Dollar Store) a couple of years ago and bought a shit load of them. I'm on the last one now. Doubt I'll ever beat that deal again!
Are the Almay ones any good? I've used Stendhal in the past and found the face cream worked well but the eye cream caused irritation. I have that problem with a lot of eye creams. Avon had me scratching my eyes out. (sorry Jenny) The best I ever had was LaPrairie cavier extract or something eye gel. It was amazing. I hadn't bought it, I'd been given a few samples from a caring person and they lasted about a month. Excellent but very, very pricey. I believe the little jar of eye gel is around 200 euro and the face cream over 300 euro. A wee bit out of my range...For every 60 seconds that you are angry, you lose a minute of happiness.

Just been using it since the beginning of March and forget most days but based on the last 4 days definite less baggage around eyes.
Happy for you that the cream works. I read excellent reviews on it somewhere and it said that the face cream companies should be running for cover when a cream that is so cheap, works so well...For every 60 seconds that you are angry, you lose a minute of happiness.

Damn. For a second there, I thought you could get them close to home...
Zenstyle;1085974 wrote: I've heard La Prarie is fantastic... well out of my range too though. Almay is good for sensitive skin and although its not posh it was very moisturizing... left my skin looking "dewy".
Now that JC has said that, I am bound and determined to get that feckin serum! Maybe they sell it over here and just didn't have it on their website??? I guess I'll need to mosey on down there. Otherwise I'll spring the $15 on eBay.
The Q10 day/night creams are $3.99 ea so I'll pick up those and the eye cream ($3.49) and, by jove, if they're any use for that price I will be gobsmacked! For every 60 seconds that you are angry, you lose a minute of happiness.

Yoo Hoo TG!
I know a lot of people say "you get what you pay for" but I really can't see how one can possibly get their money's worth out of face creams that are $200 a pop. Cheryl and I made our own face stuff a while back and it really made a difference to our skin... maybe we need to do that again. It had yoghurt, honey, lemon, coconut oil and some other bits n bobs that went with it...For every 60 seconds that you are angry, you lose a minute of happiness.

I have a question. We don't do credit cards. Did for a few years and then took the scissors to them. Whatever we buy, everything, including our vehicles, we pay cash for. I have a bank account with a cash card but I rarely use it. I can use it however, to buy things on-line. Because it's a savings account card and not a credit card, I'm a little leery of using it because if someone is computer-smart, they could access my account and transfer the money to their account. Has anyone else bought things on-line with a card similar to mine...??

I've used my debit card online before, but I only do it for big name retailers (major ticket sellers, hmv, tesco and so on) and I never let them 'remember' my details. So long as you have good spyware protection and are sensible it usually works out fineI have faced it, a life wasted, and I am never going back there again
