Hey expat! It's awesome but still really cold. The shopping has been great and so has the food and seeing friends and family! I can't wait to move back. How's France? X'Breakfast, every hour, it could save the world.' Tori Amos

I had the same numb fingers as JC and had Thiamin prescribed which really helped me as I decided to go cold turkey. I admire Zennies tapered approach and the control that must have taken. I always have been a one drink = drink to oblivion kind of guy.
Well again, similarly I was when drinking at home on my own as I became a hermit for the last year of drinkingIf you can't have one drink, don't have any - My Nan

Thanks JC:l. I'm actually ok. Though I did buy a pack of cigs!:upset: I am smoking as we speak. Yesterday just after work -around 5pm-my daughter's friend left a message on my mobile phone-"Gabrielle got ...hit(static) bus". I freaked out! I thought she had been hit by a bus! Five minutues later --I learned she was "hit" in the bus by a bully. A boy the little shit.

I can remember getting a phone call from the daughter's school saying she'd been hit in the side of the head by a boy in her class and that she may be upset when she came in. She was fine I was a wreck. The little shit subsequently got expelled and just 2 weeks later they were sat next to each other playing the fecking clarinet at a charity concert. It could be worse, I could be filing.

Thanks Reccie. My mum just had to go in earlier than planned for her hip. They operated awhile ago (she's almost 80) and I'm still waiting to hear news. My shite brother is not keeping me up to date. From what I understand--she made out ok but still waiting. Like for her to wake up from surgery. I'm going to keep trying to call hospital.

I didn't even tell her grandparents or they'd have gone ballistic. Must be a grandparent thing.
She'd been bullied before and when I reported it the staff were great. There was a big anti-bullying campaign going on at the time.
But this wasn't bullying he just lashed out. The school took it from there so my only thought is that he had major problems to start with as she wasn't the only one who'd been thumped.
My thoughts are to see what the school say.It could be worse, I could be filing.
