Underoos and other possom bottoms - April 2011

I think I must be persona non grata!

posted a long post at about 6pm that disappeared.

then one about 6:10 that grumped about the fact that my long post had gone astray.

Now that one has gone too!!

anyway, they were all about hanging on in there!

            Evening folk's,

Best wishes with the bac, Grinder and Jonesy.

I wonder how Mish and Beagle are going, and Ronnie?

I saw a bloke who appeared as old, as in elderly, today. On first glance, as he barely and slowly shuffled along the footpath, you'd reckon he was about 80 or 90, however, on closer inspection as he sat down at a cafe table near me, he was probably about 48-50 years of age. His face was fairly yellow and jaundiced, and his nerves and basic motor skill's seemed to be shot. I saw a similar look on my dad many years ago, when he was only 40! (who died that year) Cirrhosis of the liver, through excess alcohol consumption, with i'm sure many other complications. Scary stuff.

            Have a marvellous night everyone.

              Oh, no.

We are not a paranoid group at all.

Just a bunch of alcoholics who come together and try to converse.

I know that often I post here and seem to be "ignored," but I have faith (from another thread) that I am not being ignored. Rather, my post came at a time when others didn't see it or have something more important to say. (My posts are often inane, I know.)

However, I do know you Undies and (possum bottoms??) are a kind and gentle group. (chuckle)

Actually, I do know you Undies and (possum bottoms??) are a good group. Some of us don't fit in here because we are not Undies but we keep trying anyway, and always will.

I am neither an Undie or (at least I hope not) a possum bottom. I am an Uppie and omg, I do NOT want to be a possum bottom. (Mostly because possums give me the creeps, they are so primitive.) Just like me, I guess.

Do y'all have possums there? Truly?

You know, in Alabama, we say that "possum" is the "other white meat."

I always think of Steel Magnolias when I think of possums. Did that movie ever make it to Australia? A chick flick, for sure, but a good one. I have a brother with diabetes and we have almost lost him several times. I don't care if your loved one is male or female, they are beloved.

Wow, this whole post went from here to there.

I still cringe at the possum bottoms thing. (or as they say here, thang.)

              Love,
              Cindi

Oh, G. Your post spelled so much of your life in so few words.

You are an artist (artiste) after all and you do it well.

                      How are you Cindi?

Good to see you here as alway's. How's your bro?

Do you really eat possum? Don't mind it myself. Have you tried pidgeon meat?

                        arrgghh.

No, I don't eat possum or pidgeon meat.

                        Yikes!!

But, I often think about others in the world eating insects and such to stay alive. Okay, I was a young child in Taiwan and I saw people eating anything they could to stay alive. Those memories still live with me today.

I guess I could do it. Mostly I could make my grandchildren do it if times get rough enough that is all we had.

Alabama has deer. I can eat that. (Although, not if I think about it.)

I can always set up a nest for chooks, though, and ask hubby to kill them when I am not looking, I think. He can do that.

OMG, I just allowed that hubby has the ability to do something I don't want to. (eek)

At the end of the day, G, if it meant my family surviving or not, I would eat possum, snakes, squirrels, insects.

We just kid around here about the above but we would do it.

Whatever it takes, you know? Especially if it comes down to our loved ones.

No, we don't eat possum in the south. We eat catfish.

                        Love,
                        Cindi

ps doing okay. Hanging in there. Thank you for asking.

                            Evening Underrooters
What a hell of a struggle day I've (am) having. Such a battle of my mind:H But I have made it thus far, so I shall only need a couple of hours then bed. But, boy is this self-talk (and arguing) draining. This will pass...

Tawns - no my phone is just a Telstra one (and it's too complicated) I have no Apple anythings, but am eyeing the iPad (or should that be iIng the iPad:H). I assume your trailer is safely tucked up for the evening.

Guitarista - that is a frightening state for that guy. How very scary, but there for the grace of God...

Cindi and Angelcakes - hope you are going well with your Bac. And I think possums look cute!

                            Happy travels to Auckland Miss.

Hope all is well with everyone else.
Will check back tomorrow to try and keep me sane; though I fear that ship has long sailed:H

No. I am live in northern Alabama. Near Tennessee. A beautiful place, if you were asking.

I am NOT from the redneck Riviera.
