            Morning all,

Have just found this good piece by Jill Stark:

            High sobriety

I think it's worth a Sunday morning read.

Morning Tawny and a great article!! I like the "Hello Sunday Morning" concept!

I just talked to Mum on the phone and she has bounced back again and feeling much better. Thanks for all your nice comments yesterday.

Glad mum is feeling better, Missy. Can't believe how tiny she is.

We have three days of showers coming up so I guess there'll be a lot of leisurely reading going on. Take care and have a special brekkie.

Morning Tawny and Missy - good news on your mum mate.

My lot have gone off to golf, instead of watching it on the telly. Its like a Leuning cartoon I saw once with a family watching a rainbow on tv and out the window was a real rainbow...

So nice and quiet here, catching up with friends today so will be a good one all round. Going to poach a couple of googies now.

Who knows Mr G.... you may very well get a boarder like this lass anything is possible as you say .....

They are NOT good hospital corners. The old bitch sisters used to come around at the end of a maniacal morning and bounce tennis balls off all the beds. If they didn't bounce back, the bed was stripped and you made it again.....and again.....ad infinitum.......

I loved that article Froglet. Might look into 'Hello Sunday Morning' myself. She actually sounds like a girl who needed it. Reminded me very
much of someone else I know.

You know Happy, I actually remember that Leunig cartoon. Someone shoved it in my face and said that it was an analogy for my life. Hmmm.
If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

That's great news. I was thinking about us all and our Mums last night. I suppose it's only fair that we do the worrying about them at this stage of the game, considering how much of it they've done for us.

Mmmm I think it can be said for all of us at one time or another.

Been told that hurdling over the lounge to turn off bad tv reports is unnecessary as they know all coz of their facebook, ipods, friends. I am parenting by default.

The bed-maker might have done bad hospital corners but she had very nice hair.

There was a post op infection, another one ! complicating matters further, but once that's clear she'll at least have the sight back in one eye.

Another good article over there posted by Jackie Clare about wine o clock and how that can escalate. who needs the Sunday papers around here ? Saving me a fortune :H
