Underoos and other possom bottoms - April 2011

    Morning All,

I still haven't read back. Camping was excellent despite the torrential rain for the first few days. We did everything that should be done on camp....fishing, beach cricket, kite flying, kayaking, toasting marshmallows.

And now on with the washing. Back later.

      Morning all,

Just in the chaneel 9 sydney studio's with Keith. He's putting on a great show as usual, despite copying a couple of my guitar lick's, but i'm letting that go through to the keeper for now, as i'm just so damn proud of the lad.

Busy here too, but in relaxed, gentleman of leisure style, of course.

Totally enchanted by Grog, I've just made my first ever Albright, closely followed by an Alpine Butterfly Bend and then an Alpine Butterfly Loop. Only 163 to go.

Can't stop to chat ... it's knot in my nature anyway ...

... don't interrupt me now, Reggie ... I've also completed the Anchor Hitch, Ashley Bend and Ashley Stopper Knot. Next will be the Aussie Braid but I need a longer bit of string for that one!

So - he's a bit of a spunk then, is he?

... but Martin John Grog's a bit of alright ... **nudge nudge***

Anyway, only another 160 knots to practise ... and then try and find a use for them in my daily life, seeing that neither sailing nor fishing are high on the agenda.

Cheeses twice, Happy - I DID macrame in the 70's. Anyone for a pot plant hanger or a whimsical but tasteful owl on a stick?

These are SERIOUS knots. Blokes knots. They are important knots and I'm damned sure that if I had an iPhone, I'd download the App. You know ... just in case I was in Melbourne and a tram became unhitched from the electric string I could apply the Anchor Hitch and tie it to Flinders Street Station pillars or the Art Centre Spire. THEN you'd see me on the News at 5!

Been reading back gang and bloody hell narelle.....forget about your day jobs...thats ckickenfeed to how much could be made from a first edition Undies Pissheads Inc. book. Think about the possibilities, we could make enough money to rush off to Ireland as TF has suggested; pay off the national debt of a small country and thats just with the advance for the printing etc. Funniest stuff I have had the pleasure of reading for quite a while. Who wants to be the publicity manager?

:H sorry - that brings back huge memories of torturing my parents with assortments of craft, macrame, leatherwork and some sort of arrangement with nails string and a black board with fluro twine - aaah the 70's

There needs to be somewhere for SERIOUS knottage outside of lassooing trams?? Come on clever people! Hi Saph and Reg and Mum of 6!!
