Underoos and other possom bottoms - April 2011

thanks TF - I thought it might be that too, except it is dark green (rather than green-yellow) and much smaller than an ugli-fruit. Waiting for nephew to arrive to see whether he knows as he has spent a number of years living in Asia.

At this point I'm sort of suspecting that it is an un-ripe ugli-fruit and that I got ripped off :H

Why is everything 'good' with some sort of alcohol?

Amusing night spent out to dinner last night, watching a particularly large group, women dressed not unlike Russian prostitutes, get progressively pissed and lurch around the dance floor under fluro lighting.
You know what's really attractive ? A middle aged obese woman dressed in her best bright red teeny bopper outfit with great masses of shiny material sewn on it at every conceivable opportunity........but put that under faux strobe lighting and convince her that she should do that duck dance even though she's so ratarsed that she can't balance on her own Jimmy Choo knockoffs ?........priceless.

God it's good to be on this side of the fence.

Someone said Kafka's motorbike the other day and I thought of Bridge.

Morning undies! Missy your morning sounds great! Hot cross buns yum.

Bodies dispersed everywhere this morning big locust to work and Mr H and littlest to golf. Home with middle locust who has sprained his wrist playing bloody rugby yesterday. So cooking him bacon and eggs so hes a bit happier. Just realised hes an inch taller than me...

Morning Missy, Tawny, Bridget, HP, everyone in the cheap seat's (my absolute FAVE place), and all to pop in,

I can smell those bun's from here Missy. Beeeeeauwwdiful!
That fruit sounds like it's a Bandala fruit, from the tiny remote islands off the north east coast of the Phillipines, thought to have been introduced by the Spanish in 1758, but there is now a school of thought that dates the introduction of the fruit way back to 1140 A.D. by the Moors on their travels, but i find that a bit fanciful myself......

It's a corker of a day here, and knees are feeling great, so orf for a run of around 5/6 k's today, and not the 10 k's again just yet. I need to build up to that sort of lark a bit. Reckon i'm gonna find a 10 k race toward end of year and enter. Just for the craic.

Lot's of love to everyone. I appreciate the opportunity this thread gives me to babble on, to interact with an interesting, diverse, and warm bunch, and just to hang out on sometimes. Ooroo.

                    Morning All,

I have finally caught up on some exercise and some (good) sleep and the world looks shiny again.

I've just been busted - I am meant to be doing my final assignment for my "conflict" course and have told son to do his homework too. Then son looks over my shoulder, sees "MWO" and says "That's not homework." Oh well, better get on with it.

                      you beeewudies!!

It is a kaffir lime!! Googled both Kaffir and tahitian lime before the nephew arrived, and looked all intelligent and sophisticated when I asked him what he thought it was.

Anyway, I got some zest and put it into water and it was very yummy.

So were the hot cross buns - best batch yet this year!!!!

It has been a really lovely weekend - the first time my ex sister in law has been in NZ for many years. She and Mum always got on really well, but haven't seen much of each other since my brother laft her 12 years ago. But I always stay with her and her kids in Melbourne. We has a real "girls" weekend ........ went through all of Mum's old recipes and knitting patterns and talked nine to the dozen. Nephew arrived last night with his partner and she fitted right in, and has the grandmother seal of approval!!! She is a classic Aussie sheila - no-nonsense, sharp as a tack, gorgeous and can probably do a damper in a camp oven and split logs as well. Nephew was told in no uncertain terms by his grandmother that he was extremely lucky to have found such a lovely girl and e had better not waste his chances :H:H It is good to see her firing on all cylinders again, when last weekend I thought she might not survive for too much longer.
