Underoos and other possom bottoms - April 2011

Morning Tawny, Missy and all to come! No rain today so maybe we sent it south? It will blow back in no doubt.

Your birthday plan sounds great Missy, spoil yourself silly you deserve it.

Been thinking about the parents a lot. I'm not in that loop anymore, but Mr H's parents are ageing and his dad particularly not very well. Made harder by the interstate distance for his dad. Guess that is true for most of us.

Not much to report, domestic duties call as apparently the undy smuggler has hijacked all the locusts underwear and I fear at least one has gone commando today. Off and away, determined to not procrastinate, but will be checking in....

Morning Missy, Tawny, Saucy, and all shagger's of all persuasions and football teams,

HP sauce, commando is the way to go. Freedom with just a little danger....

      Joy germ?!

Missy, thank's heap's for your post this morning, and taking the time to write it. It is comforting, along with your comment's HP, and everyone else's. All good here this morning, and feeling quite relaxed. For some fortunate reason, i'm easily able to tap into a zen like attitude as in, whatever will be will be, and just do yer best etc.

Missy, your birthday day sounds like a bloody corker! And will no doubt be a corker, without the need for cork's a popping either. We don't need grog to have a good time. That is a huge lie that our addictive mind will tell us, not to mention all the bloody advertising out there that say's drinking is normal and you're a freak if you don't drink. Bulldust! We can still go out and socialise with friends and have an even better time without the booze. Millions do it, i now do it, and i actually love going to bars and partey's now, but i just always make sure i have an EXIT plan. I make sure i have complete control over how long i stay, and when i leave. Have a great day, and you're spot on when you say your best present will be to yourself. A sober birthday. You've got a plan Missy, so i reckon you'll be right. Have an exit plan for yourself too. An uncompromising one that's pre-arranged perhap's?

Anyway, i'm orf for a bath, and to whack on the avocado and vegemite face mask for that extra glow.

      Have a beautiful day.

      (Thank's Reg)

        Good Morning All,

Just a quick check in between the gym and a volunteering afternoon at the school library. I'm now going a bit stir crazy here at home so I am looking for voluntry work - preferable in the Deaf community so I can use my new language skills.

Missy - That sounds like the perfect birthday. Let us know what pressies hubby wraps for you.

HP - I love hearing about your locusts and general daily things.

Mr G. - Excellent post and what a wonderful attitude you have. Is your mum local to you? By leaving my "home" country, I have opted out of the parental care issue. I speak to my mum every now and then and it's hard when you can hear in her voice that she is not as well as she has been. The plan now is that she will go and live with my sister and our childhood home is now on the market. The last two visits I made to the UK, I decided not to go to the house, I never liked it there, but seeing it up for sale was really quite emotional. Someone else will be sleeping in MY bedroom (a bedroom I haven't slept in 17 years.)

        Anyway, enough waffle from me.

Have a good day, whatever undies you're wearing or not!

And maybe a little chafing?? Thank dog they are all in long trousers...

Cdubbers, volunteering is a great idea. Is there anywhere up your end of town that wont be able to refuse your wonderful services? Just wondered if your able to get on Skype with your mum? We use it for Mr H's mum in NZ - shes in her 70's and running her own business, maintaining a website etc so is totally a different kettle of fish to his dad. The locusts love to catch "Fast Nana" on skype - she could get around a bit more quickly than my mum so hence the nickname nothing to do with her morals...

          Procrastinating again....

Wonder if he'll get her another handbag????

I have a friend who worked with deaf people for many years, for a while at Macquarie uni translating lectures and tutorials. I think she even did some court work as well. There are too few signers out there so I'm sure your skills will be in demand.

Ahhhh, only one more day to go and I leave the little doggies. Have spent most of the day cleaning their bedding and the house. if their fur was longer I'd have collected enough to knit a scarf.

Easter.... How are you all spending yours?

The Dragon clip was also way cool, am retro shopping for white suit with floppy hat

Valerie Taylor was on 60 minutes and the footage from Palau was amazing, it was in relation to the fishing laws, but over and above that the dive footage and the fish were like nothing I'd seen outside of Finding Nemo. My favourite sick kid movie by the way. As in I make them watch it with me when any of us are sick.

                      Hi Rags,

That's the work I eventually want to do anyway but it's going to take me another couple of years to get the fluency level and go through the interpreter's course. Up here, to train for court work you have to have 6 years interpreting experience. Court work is my ultimate goal but is about 10 years off. In the meantime, I was hoping to get some hours in at a local school with a hearing impaired unit.

I had a fun afternoon in the school library. Nothing too taxing but it was so lovely to be out of the house and with people.

                      Catch up soon,

                      xx

                        Evening all,

Dog ... there's some interesting things going on in the Undies drawer. What a diverse bunch of people. Makes me throb all over.

Good telly night for me ... my Kevin at 6pm on Grand Designs Revisited followed by my Don Hany at 8.30 in the new and final series of East West 101. Doesn't get much better than that.

Hugs to selfs and your childrens.

Hi Saucy - I have been thinking about getting onto Skype. I will ask my sister to get it too and I will connect up when my mum is next there.

On another note, I've gotta tell you something about my son.....Son takes lessons in "robotics". This is seriously cool stuff. It's a Lego system that you build and programme. A teacher came to me today and asked "have you seen this?" It was a Lego robotics guitar but instead of strings, it had a slide system to play the notes. And the notes actually worked! This was built by Son. This morning was an open morning for prospective parents and my son was manning the robotics area. Apparently, he spent most of the time playing "Smoke on the Water" on his Lego guitar.

Sorry to bore you but the whole thing amazed me - the technology combined with a classic track!

Robotics is awesome and just the sort of thing boys love. You've gotta be proud he was responsible for the whole shabang?? How cool is that. Locusts have done it and youngest is still involved, others have switched to multimedia and graphics (??!!??)
Anyway, just run with it for him coz its the best way to get them through any hiccups, keep them interested, keep them poor, keep them busy. Quote from ex piano teacher. I could have added keep them fed and deodorised but....

Your never boring just quiet...listen to me drivel on and THEN you'd fall asleep...
