Today's impending invasion has increased in numbers. They're bringing another couple with a 3 y-old and a mother. Thank fusk the pub is open for lunch. No way could I feed five unexpected people on Good Friday. They'll be here in 2.5hrs - best get possum bottom in gear.

Catch youse tonight. I may need trauma counselling.

I also remember a certain alcohol related blood bath that I created on good Friday a few years back

Humph! Despite their claims of extra train services for Anzac day, the first train gets into the city at 4.15 am. No time for error then! I think I shall drive in and follow the crowd once I get there.

I suppose I haven't gone before because I know I would have to leave the house by 3.30 am. At that time, I would be wither still drunk or have a hangover brewing.

Evening Sheep - Mr Cakes has a crush on ewe - you can take the boy outa NZ....ah, again with the wit.
Well, the squid is dusted for shallow frying, there's green prawns to be sauteed with butter & garlic & a delicious ceviche to be scoffed - with crusty bread & a green salad. My ode to Good Friday. And there'll be cheeses....twice.

Hey Charlotte,
I was going to go to the 4:30 am service, but have opted out and am now going to go to a 6 am service instead.

Think I've only missed about 3 ANZAc Day services since 1966.
A few years ago we were in Birdsville on ANZAC DAY. Good turnout. Promised I'd come back one ANZAC Day day with my baggies and play. Must try to fit that in maybe next year.
