        Do what u feel is right Zenny. Deep down you will know. If it wasnt for Erin, id of emmigrated to NZ yrs ago. Infact, if it wasnt for her family here, she would of too!
        I guess Florida to Scotland is not only a big move distance wise, but a massive cultural change too.
        Is there much keeping you in the US?

            Hey zennie,

            I think i caught your illness from floria!

            I don't think it's cavalier at all. It is just going to take planning, hard work and a bit of luck but it can be done. The cats will not require quarantine if u get them a pet passport. It can be expensive but it's the only way to ensure that u get them back safe. I would look into that sooner rather than later. What about your uk citizenship? Do u have family on the mainland or would u go back to Lewis?

                      Oh right. So are both your parents American too? That changes things. If one of your parents is a British national,
                      you can get dual nationalities. I got it when I was 18 by virtue of my pa. You can also go as far back as grandparents. Won't it be hard to come back to Scotland without it? X

                        It is a big decision to make. You have to think as well that if you decide you hate it and you have debunked your American citizenship, it will not be easy to come back. I would speak to US immigration too to see what issues could present themselves if you wanted to return. That website will help lots. X

                              Hiya zenny and cassia,

                              I'm in Oxfordshire and have been contemplating a move to either the Scottish Highlands/Western Isles for the scenery/sea or emigrating to somewhere warm. There are two things that put me off Scotland - the weather and the long winter nights. That combination of shit weather and long winter nights strikes me as an ideal breeding ground for drinking problems. Are you over the drink now zenny?
